I do like Marisa's body, but her breasts are a little, erm, large for my taste. Otherwise, her figure is great. Her face....meh.

I think it really comes down to who WANTS to have staying power. There are a lot of girls who are really good at what they do and have looks that can stand the test of time, fickle attitudes and changing trends. But, it all depends on the model. I think unlike models like Kate Moss, Naomi, Linda E., the girls today don't live to model. It's a job and after work they go home to their real lives.

I think (and hope) Eugenia V will fizzle out. I really can't stand her face. She looks like a man and has practically no forehead. There is nothing in any way attractive or aesthetically pleasing about her. She proves that striking isn't always a good thing.

I thought the same thing! Certain angles and pictures she's got no forehead. It really shows when her hair is tied back .... it looks really awful. I think her features are just too strong. but certain pix it isn't. it's just how the camera captures her i guess. she's really not that bad but she does have alot of bad angles.

What Gemma lack is sex appeal, bone structure, symmetry. 3 things Kate Moss has when she was her age -- universal appeal, versatility etc.

Gemma is cutesy, a trend look, girlish.

And if you're talking about Gemma is vaguely asian looking well, in the Asian world they tend to lean more to the western/caucasian look which has been the rage for few years now that even asian women , mainly Japanese get plastic surgery on their eyelids and nose to create the caucasian features. So Gemma isn't an appeal to them. They look for women with high cheekbones, prominent jawlines, straight nose, almond shaped eyes.. the perfect symmetry.

Gemma can stand next to Du Juan and look like Du's blonde sister. Ie, Gemma is vaguely Asian looking. At the same time she is blonde, tall and rather Northern looking. So in that sense, Gemma has a lot of appeal in different camps - so much so that you may call her universal.

But if you by universal mean Miss Universe pretty - Gemma is not your girl, I don't think. That contest is more for SI pretty.

I know too little to have an opinion in this thread, but if there's a model I wish she would be remember is definetely daria, as I said already. she's one step in front of the others (sorry for my English).

yeah, designers and photographers appreciate amanda, it's so evident that she's more than very good as a model, she has a great personality, her own style, but... she's underrated. why?!?! I have a possible answer...
