Who Is Your Fashion & Style Icon?

debbie harry-not in the most literal sense, but the crazy/cool sexiness that she pulled off. I love that.
and every day would have to be ashley olsen or charlotte casiraghi...they have such a maturity beyond any other style icon their age, but still know how to make it look young and cool

My icon for work/office style is Matt Lauer. My icon for everything else? I'm still interviewing

Clemence Poesy with a little bit of Daria Werbowy, and a tinge of Iekeliene Stange.

emanuelle alt
charlotte gainsbourg
bob dylan

& also the olsen sisters

hum...this is hard actually, because i dont really base my wardrobe or outfit on anyone else's actual wardrobe.

some outfits from james dean, francoise hardy, anna karina, charlotte gainsbourg, edie sedgwick and even victoria beckham i like...and probably sub-conciously inspired me.

i do think victoria beckham is one of those celebs that actually have her own style where ever she went. whether her outfits were put together by her stylist or herself, it is very distinguished from all the other celebs. i like her clean, sleek and obviously posh style. i think it's very modern. none of that nostalgic, vintage, retro look that is going over board with not only celeb style but street style as well.

my icons always change. right now im inspired by this one photo from an editorial from nylon magazine back in 2000. it has two androgynous looking models wearing a simple blazer + button down shirt + loose wide leg jeans. it reminded me of my late 2006 style which i am sporting once again now that i am tired of everything else. it's a little jil sander-esque. i love what raf simons is doing for jil sanders lately

I try to channel the various attitudes/auras of these people though not always necessarily their clothes. I'm just quite schizophrenic so I need a long list!

Ashley Olsen - I love the dark sunglasses, leather miniskirts, black leggings, basic tees, big cardigans, clunky shoes, black birkin, monochrome, cropped blazer look...just love it!

Kirsten Dunst - casual, basic, easy, slightly quirky...minus the raybans! i hate raybans!

And many of the old movie stars and icons. Classic and glamour appeals to me.

I don't have 1 particular Icon, I look at everyone and get inspiration from anyone who has a style that I like. Then I create my own style that is unique to me because there is never 1 style that someone wears which 100% fits mine!

glamour stars from the 30s and 40s - as well as Dita Von Teese

I know it may sound overrated and all too common...but I'd have to say Karl Lagerfeld & Dean & Dan Caten.

I love Chanel regardless...and Karl has been showing a lot of integrity, especially with the recent Chanel cruise line...I don't think I would have ever favored stars & stripes as much as I did.

DSquared2 says a lot for itself. Their designs involve a lot of pop culture & current trends.

I love the whole stars and stripes thing, I saw the cutest chanel star mini dress in vogue, I fell in love.

I'm a boho chick, it's all gypsy skirts, flares, floppy hats, but I also incorporate rock and other influences, I'll be wearing a leather jacket with a gypsy skirt and a pair of aviators.

My main style icons are Sienna Miller, Mary Kate Olsen, Anita Pallenberg and Vannessa Paradis.
