I've been sneaking into... I mean... "attending" Marcs runway shows for a couple years now

Sure..."attending" :innocent:

welcome to TFS :flower:

he just annoys me, he looks like a boring child and his clothes sometimes look like those of a grandma:yuk:

Oh yes. All the granny stuff. I dont know why anyone would want to look like Mr and Mrs Rogers, old stuffy cardigans and hideous calf height boots. And for some reason people consider him brilliant for dressing them like 98 year olds.

I especially like the vintage feel of his designs and the way he uses color. And his shoes are absolutely wonderful. They have this cute playful style going on.

Even though I adore him I don't think his latest designs are the best he has done.
My favourites are both of his spring 05 rtw collections.

i think his designs are youthful and quirky, with a sense of humor. i like mj, he is one of my fav. designers/

I like his use of color and I think his shoes are incredible, but lately, I don't find his designs to live up to the hype.

There is a s/s 06 mark by marc trunk show up at saks.com. Beautiful pieces IMO...and with your purchase of 250 USD or more you get a free rose print hobo.

I love how he takes vintage designs and puts in his own modern twist. Love him =D

I love Marc Jacobs espcially his marc by marc jacobs line. It is so inventive in my opinion. I love vintage clothes but honestly speaking it is hard to find vintage stuff that fits me and is still cute so I don't see why people are saying that drawing inspiration from vintage is a bad thing. He is by far my favorite designer!

i´m kind of indifferent to Marc Jacobs, honestly..no hate no love..just kind of blah about it..

I do like the very thick wool trench coats.

i love love love marc jacobs. he's my favourite designer. he has very simple, girly, and flirty pieces which are amazing. he never disappoints me.
i want to marry that sexy man. and his glasses. seriously. hah.

Marc Jacobs is a genuis. It takes a complex mind to understand and apprechiate the conceptual ideas behind his garments.

I just don't understand why I need to put a cute camisole over a polo shirt. That just ruins it for me.

Lets save the sailor top for the 4 year olds.
<picture>The american flag ala Marc Jacobs... see, red/blue paired with dusty dirty teal. Gah. These colors make me puke.
<picture>More weird pairing of colors. I can see this dress worn in the movie "Virgin Suicides", but that took place in the 70's. I like the cut and that it is a sun dress, but I think grandma had a mumu made of this fabric.
<picture>Bag lady fashion. Built in bag/pockets to cary all your empty coke cans, fairy dust, or lord knows what else!
<picture>This fabric print reminds me of new carpet at movie theathers that tries to look art deco.

Like MJ or hate him, your captions made me laugh all the same. Clever way to express what a lot of us were trying to say. :D

i love MOST of it...it's all very different, cute, vintage-y, and sometime's childish...when you wear something marc jacobs you know you wont see anyone else with it... :D

Then not as a designer but a brand

Ok after reading that text it is obvious that Marc Jacobs is not a men wear designer... But i like what his asistants are doing. What they are designing is all wearable.

I don't hate Marc Jacobs, but I don't love him.

I like some of his designs concerning women's shoes.

I love Marc Jacobs, especially the way he has reinvented LV in a lot of ways.

I am quite fond of the Marc by Marc Jacobs line because the pieces are fun, unpretentious, and have a lot of soul in my opinion. Now I'll admit that Marc isn't my style all the time but overall I admire him and what he has done for women's fashion in general.
