I'm looking for a lightly padded parka/jacket/coat - that is sporty but it can be worn over a business suit. I prefer dark color - brown or black. I need it for my business trips, which are by plane and I often go from airport to meetings. I can't pack heavily as I ussually travel for 2 to 3 days. I need something to keep me warm and something that I can toss around in the plane. Here are some examples, but they are not exactly what I want.
I know Prada makes this kind of coats, but can't find anything else.

I bought it last year and i love it so much! I wont by another until Im sure because im completely in love with mine still.

Other than that, I love leather jackets and a classic wool peacoat.

Living in Canada, I'm always in the market for a new winter coat!
Right now I have ...

White Down-filled full-length quilted jacket
Black BR peacoat that i sewed smoky steel buttons onto
Black and white houndstooth mid-length trench
Black full-length single-breasted wool coat with flared sleeves
Sand-colored parka with (faux) fur lining
Black military-style 3/4 length wool
Red swing-style wool

... I always have to update my coat selection because I get sick of wearing the same one every day for 5-6 months

I love winter coats. Over here you spend 6 months of the year in one anyway, so good for me. It's the only thing I keep buying more and more even though I already have quite enough. And unlike summer gear, winter clothes always seem to love you just the way you are. You can never be too fat for your winter coat!

i just bought this gorgeous coat by Mayle (designed by former model Jane Mayle). It is black wool coat with fur around the collar and around the wrists. I wish i could get a picture of it, but I will soon!

I have a long and very classic black coat for winter. It's Italian wool and I bought it last year. I hope I still like it.

I love coats - for some reason I consider them for better investments.
I have many - light and heavier. We have fall and spring and winter - so I need many coats.
I have accumulated over the years these:
I have Ferregamo black astrakhan skin long coat; vintage short astrakhan in beige; vintage long Mongolian goat fur black coat - this is for very cold weather;
Gucci off white alpaca coat - long to the knees
I have 3 Dolce Light spring and fall coats - white, beige, navy. all long to the knees
Woven Brown Leather from MAx Mara and Pony skin from Max Mara - again to the knees;
My latest buy - Prada sport black parka like with fur trim.
