CATWALK SHOW HERO/ SPRING SUMMER 2007
HERO/ SS ‘07 is the new WOLF/van benthum collection and a clear follow-up of JÆGER/ AW 2006-2007, which was presented in January 2006 during the Amsterdam International Fashion Week (AIFW). Hero is a compact men’s ready to wear collection; a continuation of establishing the WOLF/ -style and approach, the brand run by designer Francisco van Benthum and was introduced in January 2003.
In this collection van Benthum continues focusing on proportion and re-interpreting silhouettes. The collection is build out of 3 parts: a series of more basic garments, a more outspoken sports inspired part and formal pieces.
This time Van Benthum took inspiration from the U.S. Marines and ceremonial U.S. Navy- suits entwined with cycle-racing gear, and translated this into a compact but complete spring/summer collection. The series include light wool and cotton suits, white leather jackets, a range of jersey tops, accessories and features a new approach on the camo-print (camouflage).
