Yohji Yamamoto F/W 2025.26 Paris

Beautiful accessories - and that purple! it's much more geometric & warrior-like than his usual poetic lyricism. More like armour: layers that are bold but still with the trademark Yohji draping.

Yohji's works is closer to the Azzedine's world than anything Pieter has attempted to do so far.

Very, very 80s even with that hideous shade of purple but he made it work , the blouson coats stripped of those wires would look great but there is no denying how superior he is in his craft compared to the moronic designers in Paris today

That shade of purple is so interesting cause it rarely works on anyone in real life, it kind of overpowers a body/face/anything else you’re wearing and yet.. it’s so captivating in imagery and certainly in cinema and has the opposite effects, it fuels both with energy. Some of my favorite photographs from Sarah Moon and Deborah Turbeville have that purple.

I don’t know about the rest but love the earrings.. I’ve been craving Yohji jewelry for a few months now. And always a joy to see him at the end.. 🖤

so true about the purple; maybe it was overpowering 80s nostalgia ^_^ but also it's rare; can't remember the last time i saw a garment in this colour. the simplicity of it here in coats and drapey dresses works for me. *shrug*. and yes to the earrings (i like the gothic pendants too )
