Yohji Yamamoto Menswear F/W 2022.23 Paris

it’s all so good! not so much novelty but nevertheless, what a palate cleanser after that LV’s collection.

Easily my favorite collection of the season: the cut is impeccable, the silhouette is pragmatic, and the styling is balanced! This collection is the epitome of coolness that any hype brand has never been able to achieve with such a taste level of attitude.

Absolutely stunning collection. I normally detest animal prints of all kind but Yohji just makes things work. On a side note, I've always loved his diverse casting but especially here, it just goes to show that you can look good in Yohji at any age.

A miss from Yohji for me. Looks extremely outdated and not in any of the right places. Reminds me of the "dark" fashion look men in their 40s in Moscow would wear in the beginning of 2010s. You do have to evolve sometimes, even if you are a Japanese designer, over which Western society tends to swoon over without much (any) judgement.

Very neutral and measured but beautiful nonetheless, watching the show footage was like therapy…so relaxing. The Uncle Vanya styling is at once classically handsome yet powerful in its austerity and rejection of current trends. The cast, as usual, helps bring this all to life.

The subtle use of animal print and photographic prints of Beksinski’s work, help delineate a sense of darkness, just beneath the surface and impossible to pinpoint…and all the more disquieting because of this.

nothing new, but at least consistent to his whole career. ❤️
