Yohji Yamamoto + Noir A/W 05

I always liked a lot of things from the NOIR collection, it´s like the greatest hits of his work, but done in a way that is utterly wearable and not retro-esque... but then again, have you ever seen a dated design from Yohji?

you are all welcome

good news
this line seems to be available worldwide soon.
stores, e.g. barney's, jeffrey, saks fifth avenue, Yohji Yamamoto NY, are to carry S/S 06 collection.

Thanks Runner!
Where can we see the pics for the SS06 collection? Is it more moderately priced than the mainline or less?
Thanks again.:flower:

they will update the official site with S/S 06 next month.
yes I think so. for example, the silk dress is about 100000 yen.
but the price may be at least 30% higher outside Japan.

Thankyou runner for posting :flower:
Very androgynous collection, the simplicity of the colors and forms gives the details more attention. Overall very nice! I only wish it were more fitted.

Am I the only one who finds a lot of this quite grandmotherly even on the young model? I think some of it would look quite frumpy on a non-model or anyone not so young. But regardless, these are beautiful pieces.

Yohji boutique here has experimented with that line on and off, just like with Y's. For some reason the US market is not as receptive to his diffusion lines as the rest of the world (although I don't consider Noir diffusion - from what I've seen it's just as well made and just as expensive as the main line).

These clothes are great. I don't think they're grandmotherly at all, it's just very Yohji.
