Your Favorite Dior Show

LetThemEatCake, that show is fabulous and ferocious! I love it so much! The hats are to die for (no pun intended...with all those dead animals...) and I love the color palette!

LetThemEatCake...I think this show FW 00 Haute Couture.

Here are a few more pictures-

Yeah, it's Haute Couture, I saw the video of this show last week on GNT Fashion!

^i found that ss07 show to be much much much much better than the 60th aniversary! a lot more seriously! last couture for john was jsut as boring as his last rtw ... decieving
I agree with you too. The SS collection was perfection like someone mentioned. The soundtrack was probably my favorite soundtrack ever at any Dior show. And Shalom as the last piece was just breathtaking. I still watch the show and can almost be brought to tears. OK srs.

The last show was rather dull for me, despite that he used some of the 90's supermodels to distract from the predictability. And was what Coco doing spins for?

And OMG Karma for you dior_couture! I remember that photo of Carmen! Magnificent! I want one of those dead wolves so badly to throw over my shoulder as a scarf.

Pamela Anderson wrote a letter to Harper's Bazaar that they published about her being mortified over the use of animals in the show. Pffft. :innocent:

I would die to see the video of that show. I was seriously obsessed for months and seeing the pics brings it all back.

Sorry I wasn't "/ It was full yes, not w/ all details, but full lenght, every week GNT puts in the early hours some old shows, I often see, there was once a lagerfeld show from the 80's it's great to watch, but its a pity that no one records it

Please...is she mortified that Eskimos use fur?...and have for CENTURIES!!!! I can't handle those anti-fur extremists...fur has been used since the beginning of time, get over it!

Oh and along w/ the full lenght video there was an interview w/ Galliano explaining what was the show about, the fabrics, the set ...

I have nothing against the use of fur, but I'm against of waisting of fur

You don't have any way of recording it?

I wish there was a channel that was dedicated simply to playing fashion shows...I'd subscribe to it in an instant!

I'm so curious to hear about the interview with John. I know that he was inspired by gladiators (see Carmen and Gisele) and there was a heavy influence for all the taxidermy. I wonder if any clients requested any of those hats. I would love to see someone other than a model wear one.

What did he say? I bet it was really interesting!

I'll try to explain w/ my awful english , he was in a room, and w/ some of the pieces that were in the show around him, and he was explaining each one, what was the inspiration, the fabric, how many days it took to ''build'' the outfit
