i saw a woman wearing what i thought was the best fur jacket i had ever seen the other day...
it was patches of different kinds of fur- but all black...
lots of texture but still quite subtle...
and she was wearing it very casually, looking quite cool...

i figured it was some very expensive thing...

then, i was looking for something else online, later that day and i think i have come across it...
it's actually a faux fur from topshop...
...

http://us.topshop.com/webapp/wcs/st...=-1&productIdentifier=product&catalogId=33060

i figure if i couldn't tell it was fake, neither could anyone else..
so i ordered it...
:ninja:..

^_^

doesn't look so hot in the photos, i have to admit...
i've never purchased, owned or worn any fake fur in my life...
we'll see what happens when i see it in person...
:ermm:...

I have a Patagonia ivory fleece jacket that I bought for walking in cold weather, but it does kind of look like fur--and it's supersoft & feels great. A coworker came up to me saying, I know that can't be real fur because I know you wouldn't be wearing it ...

^^
i agree that ivory fleece does definitely give the effect of sheepskin...

you know...
i say these things about not having any fake fur and then realize i'm totally wrong...
i have a faux pony hair pea coat from agnes b and a faux shearling trench from armani exchange...
......
and both are really excellent!

...

There is some pretty good faux fur out there! I should add that they intended this jacket to make a fur coat unnecessary ... it's not standard fleece. I can't get to Pinterest from this machine  to get a picture of it, as it's different & better than what they're currently selling. But it has this crimped effect ... the fur it resembles the most is probably astrakhan (which I wouldn't buy even if I lived at the North Pole).
