Finito! :magic:

That's a wrap for the Fall/Winter 15.16 Showseason. But don't be sad! It's also time to look back at what we saw in the 4 capitals and start our discussions.

What were your favorite collections of the season? What were the highlights? Any surprises and changes? Tell us all!

i have to say this fashion week block since the men's shows has really rejuvenated my excitement again after so many seasons of utter blandness and bleakness. and for me,it was largely dominated by that young talent we've been hoping to see for ages.

New York-

VFILES-Ximon Lee and Andrea Jaipei Li,both recent parsons alums who were trained by professor and former great, shelley fox.

Tess Giberson

Eckhaus Latta

London-

Phoebe English

Faustine Steinmetz

Helen Lawrence

Claire Barrow

Marques'Almeida

Paris-

Vetements

Yohji Yamamoto

Noir Kei Ninomiya

Comme Comme

Damir Doma

Veronique Branquinho

Bless

Coperni

Lutz Huelle

A.F. Vandevorst

Ann Demeulemeester

Lemaire

Nehera

Haider Ackermann(despite overt jurgi persoons stitching,it was a nice evolution for him filled with texture)

Christian Wijnants

a.Knackfuss

Sacai

Viktor & Rolf--very lovely farewell collection....felt like a very intimate retrospective to their PAP career.

Jacquemus

(hon. mention who didn't show--Lena Lumelsky)

milan was the best week by a country mile

new york and paris were kind of even, and london..the less said the better  i'm never a fan anyway

i think my top 3 shows would be balmain, proenza schouler and tod's/prada can't decide :P

Overall, a very pragmatic season. As people wants to buy what they saw on the runway, designers are showing wearable and yet exciting clothes.
Paris & Milan were very strong but the sparkle of London is fading more and more and NYC...it couldn't be more boring.

So, my favorite collections:
NYC
-Thom Browne
-Marc Jacobs
-Ryan Roche

L.A.
-Tom Ford

London
-Peter Pilotto
-Mario Schwab

Milan
-Marco de Vicenzo
-Fendi
-Antonio Marras

Paris
-Loewe
-Chanel
-Louis Vuitton
-Sacai
-Lanvin
-MiuMiu
-Chloe

Honorable mention: Oscar De La Renta, Prada, Celine, Dior, Valentino, Haider Ackermann, Alexander Wang, Vetements.

Disappointments: Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Christopher Kane, Mary Katranzou, N°21, Hermes, Sonia Rykiel, Paco Rabanne, Maison Margiela (bad presentation, bad styling).

*Not expecting something from them anymore: RODARTE, CALVIN KLEIN, ALEXANDER MCQUEEN, GIAMBATTISTA VALLI, BALMAIN.

** I'm still trying to see what everybody loves about your work: Thomas Tait.

Honorable mention for Viktor & Rold who delivered their best collection in ages, and parts of Undercover were amazing, so was half of Celine. Simone Rocha's collection was very good as well, and I love Agnona - and the few looks they put in the lookbook were great - but it's time they let him show on a runway.

It's always weird looking back at favorites and trying to figure out why they stick out to me. Can't really make sense of it, although I suppose the common factor is that each of these shows felt somehow really honest and true to the designer's ethos.

Givenchy
Haider Ackermann
Lanvin
Louis Vuitton
Marc Jacobs
Michael Kors
Tom Ford
Versace (or most of it anyway)

Dries Van Noten. The only show to truly excite me from start to finish this season.

The Row
Marni
Agnona
Salvatore Ferragamo

I think the only show that left an impact on me this season was Marc Jacobs. No other Fall/Winter 2015 collection has stood out to me in retrospect other than his. It was the perfect mix of "fashion," reality and drama. Perfectly executed from the clothes themselves, the accessories, the casting, the hair and makeup and the astounding set and music production. The message was clear as a bell and so stunningly self-assured on Marc's part. That kind of assuredness put the collection and the show on such a different playing field...above and beyond what others offered this season.

Alexander McQueen
Marc Jacobs
Marni
Prada
Victoria Beckham

Chanel
Michael Kors
Dsquared²
Givenchy ( had some interesting things)
Balmain
Dolce & Gabbana
&
Versace
oh and Moschino

celine, yohji, sacai, comme des garcons, marni, thomas tait, simone rocha, and vejas! this season was disappointing over all but they all shined.
