you're all welcome
Avantster, Y's black label can be strong in some ways of course.
but it's so in the regular manner of Y's.
on the other hand, it seems as if red label/Michiko was somewhat allowed to express herself beyond that conventional manner.
as if she was allowed to express the strength more straightly, or in a more vivid way.
as if he entrusted what he cannot do to her.
the key word of red label A/W 06 was "spicy" while the one of black label was "protest".
we know "protest" has been one of yohji's underlying factors/requirements.
therefore there should be "protest" about red label as well since red label is still Y's.
"protest" is just the major premise.
so I think red label had something extra of "spicy", along with "protest".
in which sense red label could be more strongly seasoned.
btw red label is also supposed to be "punkish" in comparison with black label.
she is the younger generation than Limi, Tao, Makiko (behind matohu), etc.
it's obvious that yohji wants her to acquire as much experience as possible.
this S/S 08 is her/Red Label's fourth collection and also the first runway show.
these threads below include her previous collections if you are interested.
