I was actually thinking of starting a thread yesterday on this belt.
I have the black 2005 fall leather one. I love it! I'm not sure sure how to wear it. The problem is that my work clothes have to be quite conservative, I usually wear Dolce Gabbana pants suits. Most of the time I need a jacket in order to appear appropriate.
This is my usual style:
http://www.bergdorfgoodman.com/store/catalog/prod.jhtml;jsessionid=LSFHQAZPGVGC2CQAAJ0RPVIKAABHKGLO?itemId=prod3850014&parentId=cat20053&masterId=cat30005&grandMasterId=cat000008&cmCat=

the pants are usually low rise, so it is impossible to wear it with them.
I have 2-3 pencil skirts that might go with the belt. But what else - with a coat? over a shirt?
any advice?

the belt would be great over the jacket in that link. you can really wear it with everything.

Thank you for the suggestions! I tried it on a black D&G slightly different style suite - more feminine with shorter jacket and wide pants - it looks Ok, but somehow it lost it's YSL style. It looks the best on a tulip skirt or tapered pants and mabe some other color.
I'm so stiff with my style - it's unbelievable!
and
It looks like I bought the most boring style:

its a great belt aris I wouldn't call it boring - it's versatile you can use it with so many things whereas if you bouhght one in a weird colour or texture you might have fewer things you could pair it with :flower:

Caffeine, I got it in Singapore. Where are you?

Everyone, please see following auction for very cool, vintage ysl belt:

If I hadn't just bought mine i'd be a definite bidder on that one!!

I'm in Boston so I get lots of stuff from NYC. Thanks for the ebay tip:)

I'm in love with it too morriseel  I've ordered them a couple of times but i've had such trouble with size because my waist is very small, they always get the wrong size for me, i'm dying for the patent black one like you have or the blck croc skin, though that nude one is delicious too!

Did you try the smallest size? did it work? my waist is about 24" so I wonder if their smallest is still too big...I can add a couple of holes though. what do you think? :flower:

I'm definitely a fanatic for this belt.

I have been completely shocked at the lack of good "knockoffs" though. The two h&ms near me don't carry one, and I have yet to see a nice version anywhere else.

I love the nude colored one and the crimson velvet

Mine was 85 /the biggest/ - it was the only one left, but I had to have it!
I took it today to a shoe repair guy and he shortened the leather /cut it and sew it back/ under the buckle, it looks perfect!

I pre ordered this belt at BG, but I got one of those little cards that says it's delayed :( Last time that happend I never got what I ordered so I'm worried. Where else can I order/waitlist at?

I just checked out that ebay auction, it says the waist 30 cm which is 11 inches. Even if thats taken with the belt buckled and measured in half, then it's 22 inches, and no ones over the age of like 12 has a waist that small. I'm confused

these belts are way too big for my waist, but i really really love them.. i think the smallest is 75cm... i'd love a leopard print, black patent and black leather though

Why don't you ask the seller if she means 30inches? That's about average waist size so it would make sense don't you think???? Im almost certain that's what it would be.... Guessgirl do you have a ysl near you?
