I agree. It's a large but it's the picture that saks.com is offering under the title "Oversize (XL) Muse."

Never did get a response as to whether orange and biscotto are one in the same. Thanks a bunch....

just ordered the xl black patent from saks!! sooo excited.. and kinda worried aobut what this will do to my checkbook (yikes!) anyway.. yea!!

That's great . I'll be at Saks this weekend and am hoping to see the patents in person. Also want to try on the large and XL to see which looks better.

i know this may have been answered before....but in regards to the size of the large and medium, which would be equivilant to, lets say, about an LV speedy 30 or a michael kors astor in the large size (not overnighter)? i saw the size comparison, and think the small is really too small...but i need help between the medium and the large....TIA!

oh and this is a lil late, but I CANT BELIEVE what happened to you and your pics know-chloe!!!! that really makes me angry, especially after someone pulled that on me with my stam way back.....

and, as i have been avoiding this thread for fear of it making me lust over the muse again, i just wanted to congratulate all of the muse owners and all of the new, gorgeous muse bags all you gals have scooped up! im jealous.....

^ I have the same dilemma. Deciding between the medium or the large. I desperately need help from you Muse experts.

I can get a great deal on an white medium one, but I'm still not sure.
In the first place I was lusting for the oversized in black, then I wanted the white or black large and now I'm thinking about the medium because of the deal.
Oversized will probably be too big for me since I'm a 5'4, and although I think it looks great on others and on pictures I think I prefer the large one. Though, it's difficult to get a hold of the Muse where I live, it's tempting to go for the white medium now and invest in a large black later. (I'm really obsessed and in love with this bag.)

What are your opinons? And do anyone now what's the retail price for the large in white or black in London/Europe and if it's hard to get a hold of?

Does any of you YSL Muse owners have a picture of the key? Right now Im a bit insecure about which one is the authentic key.

I took pics because I got a Muse from the 1st round and one from the 2nd round, and they were completely different. The original muse came with 3 non-descript keys that looked like they went with locks you buy at the hardware store. The 2nd round muse came with 1 key that was much fancier, it had a round top and YSL engraved on it.

So anyhow, I took pics of the keys to compare them and never posted them, but now they'll have some use.

No problem. The two muses I got weren't that far apart date-wise, I got one in March last year then one in April, and those details were still that different. The lock was also correspondingly different as the shape of the keys changed. I have pics of that too.

Hi Geek-Chic, my friend bought an oversized Dk Brwn and had problems with the lock and key. When she took it back to the boutique and they tried to change the lock & key for her, she noticed that the other set of keys did not have the YSL imprint/engravement.

When questioned, the YSL SA informed us that the previous/earlier Muses had keys without the YSL engraved/imprinted on the keys.

So my bet is the keys are still authentic. ;-)

Ok, thanks you guys. That's what I figured out about the keys too!

I have yet another question, is it possible to read from the authentic card the size of the bag? Now I'm mixed up if this bag I'm looking at (the seller won it from a contest and knows nothing about it) is a medium or a large. She says it's a medium, but the pictures are making me wonder.

^I can't tell from that tag. My tags don't have anything about size on it either. Ask for the measurements. A medium will be around 14L x 9 1/2 H, and a large will be about 17 1/2 L x 11 H.

If its that white one you were asking about on the fake/authentic thread, I don't think the white ones have brown lining or leather serial tags. I think all colors are lined with black satin.

I just surfed PF and someone there said:
My Black and Metallic Anthracite Muses have black satin interiors.
My Chocolate Brown and White Muses have a dark brown satin interior.

So I guess dark brown lining and leather tag is authentic for white/ivory Muses?

the muses are everywhere in selfridges, its almost a bit of a turn off, the way they are just laying around.. they even store some in the shoe dept.

It's totally opposite here in Australia, there's no YSL boutique and the department stores here are not carrying it. So it is hard to get one here apart from order online from NM or Saks.

So I'm blessed by the fact that not many girls here carry it. In fact I saw only one girl carry her xl chocolate muse and let's me tell you it did look gorgeous on her

I got calls today from BOTH the YSL on Rodeo Drive AND South Coast Plaza that the Red XL Muse arrived TODAY!!

I'm going to check it out tomorrow. Can't wait!

If it's burgundy-ish like the large muse... I'm leaving it at the store
