Very nice lady in Berlin on the case for me!!! Hope she can find me one....hope this isn't Stamgate no 2 .

I've been posing in the mirror with a cushion next to me,to see if it looks bad in size .

Does anyone have the large bag? I have seen pics of people with the oversized,and I've seen Socal's lovely picture of the large,but not on anybody as far as I can see....I would love to see it on a shorter person (I'm 5'2 like everyone here it seems LOL) if possible...

I still love oversize muse the best cause only oversize can show the speical of it.

Yes, it is.It does come with a detachable shoulder starp.But I never used it.

Oh dear,my quest for a black day bag has me up in the dead of night and reading every single page in this thread...thanks to all of you informative posters!! And thanks to all those who posted pics.

I really didn't like the shape of this bag when I first saw it...something about the bulbousness of the top and the almost square shape just looked "off".

However,like all successful marketing campaigns,the ads have been winning me over.

Plus the fact that I am deeply disappointed with all other bags that have emerged this spring!!

The other bag I am considering is the gladys bowler by Chloe...but then I think that for the same money the muse is a whole lot more bag,not so?

I would be looking for the large in black,and I will be looking in Europe,so as not to be killed by customs etc.

Like all good things,YSL is not to be found in this flat wet muddy country .

Does anyone know where in London they may still be in a department store? I have phone numbers of boutiques from the YSL website,but in case we don't bond,I would like to be able to return and get my money back rather than store credit.

I like the fact that many of you have reported that the leather slouches after a while. I can also see in the pics of people carrying the bag that the leather is soft,something which my dear departed MJ Stam wasn't.

Do you guys think that this bag will look too bulky on a person with boobs? I will get the large as I just know that the XL will make me look like the side of a house.

Does anyone know the dimensions of the large muse?

I hope that this much worry burns calories .

I have big boobs and the large size looks great on me. The XL looked HORRIBLE on me. I saw a XL snow leopard last night in NM and tried that size again and it just looks very silly on me. I think the measurements on the large are 16" wide, 10" high, 4" front to back in the fullest part. It is about the size of a MJ Venetia give or take a little bit.

re the embossing questions- sorry ive been getting killed at work but i have the info-it is on the sides of the lock and not on the lock itself just like described earlier one initial on each side-not sure what they do with three initials, im really going to try to make it to this thing so i can report that-i have the whole doctors appointment thing down

FAUVE is one size smaller than oversize muse. Olive color is fabulous and the leather is more smooth. But I love oversize muse most cause the shape is unique and very handy. The cut is simple but elegant. I can wear oversize muse over shoulder. Just got a chocolate oversize muse tonight. I think the feeling towards muse is growing on me....

Chloe, I love your olive Fauve. I looked at that bag, but two weeks ago I ended up purchasing the chocolate brown Yse instead. (The Yse is the oversized version of the Fauve.) I love, love, LOVE my Yse. I've seen a number of Muses in NYC, but I have yet to see a Fauve or another Yse. I agree: the leather on these two bags is smoother and richer than the leather on the Muses. I too have yet to use the shoulder strap.

Seeing your olive Fauve makes me want to go back for one of them. Perhaps if I hadn't purchased the anthracite large Muse.

Is the YSE the one has leather braided in the front and back of the bag? I have seen that one in Chocolate in boutique,but size wise, it is almost the same as fauve. The price for that yse is $1795 before tax.

thanks Chloe_Concord ,I want to surprise my wife with one ,but she's confused bettwen 'FAUVE & MUSE' as me myself?

on her shoulders the 'FAUVE' looks intresting from the side view due to the two Y's, while the 'MUSE' looks strong & bold when left standing alone on a table or the ground....?

shopping: Muse and Fauve are two different bags from the same family. The Muses have the Y's on the front, the Fauves have the Y's on the sides. Chloe Concord's pic, post #902 shows them side by side, the white one is the Muse.
