Is the YSE the one has leather braided in the front and back of the bag? I have seen that one in Chocolate in boutique, but size wise, it is almost the same as fauve. The price for that yse is $1795 before tax.

Chloe, the Yse does not have any braiding on it. It is exactly the same as the Fauve, except it is an oversize, not a large. The Yse has suede handles, suede piping running down the center front and back of the bag, and the lock and the "Y" formation are on the side of the bag. My Yse is the same as the one that the model is holding on page 1 of this thread. I have no idea why YSL didn't keep the same name for both bags. All of the Muse bags share a common name, regardless of their size, so it doesn't make much sense to have a Fauve and a Yse.

Shopping, the Muse and the Fauve/Yse do not come in the same colors. They do not share the same price point either. The F/Y bags will run you several hundred more than the Muse will. I paid either $1695 or $1795 for my Yse -- can't remember which. The leather on the F/Y is thicker and it is richer looking than the leather on the Muse. YSL sells the Fauve in olive, raspberry suede, and I think a yellowish suede. I believe it may also come in gold, and Bergdorf sells it in a cream color. The Yse comes in Chocolate Brown. It may also come in a few other colors that I am not aware of.

When I get home tonight I will try to post pictures of my Yse.

Girls I'm thinking about buying a white muse for real!! But I'm just a bit worried about buying the bag because I'm only 18 and it's a bit of money to spend. Do you girls think it will be a trendy bag in the future? If I try to sell it after the summer on ebay or something do you think it will sell?

only buy a bag because you love it...not because you are worried about the trends.

everything will sell its just a matter of what you want to let it go for

btw if anyone wants julianne moore's tan (?) ostriche muse, they will offer them at the NYC embossing event!

I view this bag as more of a classic than an obviously trendy bag. especially in the smaller sizes...I think oversized bags will come and go.

I am certainly buying this bag to last a few years.

But I agree with guccigal;you must only buy it if you love it,and not because everyone else has or wants it.

That's true:). And this whole style is so...classic...that it'll always look good.

At the YSL in Chevy Chase I saw the leopard Muse...I saw both sizes and the Muse tote, or a tote, didnt know if it was Muse or not. It was a stunner.

Vicky...my first though based on the price is a quote my dad used to say to me when I asked to borrow money "not no but hell no"

but the bag looks good, lots of pics, etc. ask the seller 2 things well 3...

1. email me a copy of the receipt 2. what would a good buy it now be and 3 why are you selling at this low price

normally they would say something like oh I bought this and I have to sell it, need the money...and that would explain the low price.

otherwise I have no clue why they would price that low...its priced like a fake.

drill the crap out of the seller.

I don't consider the Muse to be a "trendy" bag. If you are looking for a hot, young bag, I would not recommend the Muse. If you are looking for a classic bag that will endure through the ages, go with the Muse. I think even the oversize will remain relevant over the years; it's really not THAT big. Otherwise, I would recommend one of the Balenciaga moto bags, or the Chloe Paddington.

I agree. The bag is just plain beautiful. Also the Muse will be like the Mombasa...sold every season for long long time.

from what I can tell yes. They are doing it next season but from the manager she said it will be around for awhile

most bags like this...balenciaga, chloe silverado paddingtong will always be part of the collection at least for a long long time

Been running into the snow leopard recently...on display yesterday at NM Newport Beach and today at Nordstrom San Diego (Fashion Valley Mall)...

The pull tab on one of the zippers of my Muse has come off. I am really annoyed, I've only had the bag for 10 days.
