gucci, I'm so sorry that such a freak incident happened to you! I agree with Lily that it's a pretty big, freak accident. Although, I'm pretty cautious and observe the following "rules" when going out: 1) wear black or dark colors, 2) carry a clutch that I can place in my lap and cover with a napkin, 3) always order white wine (it's a complete drag, I know, but as Karl Lagerfield said recently, "don't tempt fate!").

i would die if i had to drink only white wine and wear only dark colors, but i do wish i had more clutches

dry cleaning went perfect! they paid for it and it looks nice.

they bought me the last clutch in the USA and I am having it overnighted. they paid for it on their card.

its all good now. just annoying! the manager was sooooo nice!!!!!!! thanks all!!!

nothing compared to you, but i once had a waiter accidentally spill a canter of red vinegar on one of my bags. the bag was open and the canter landed inside, flinging some of its contents on the outside as well as it fell in. it wasn't an expensive bag, but i wasn't too happy for the stuff inside. its kind of funny now that i look back on it.. and.. um.. it was kind of a good excuse to get a new cellphone i had been resisting to buy..

things can sometimes be replaced.. but you can't! so, other than the emotional and mental truama of having stuff you love get icky so suddenly, i'm glad that at least you weren't hurt by the shards of glass!! *more hugs*

I was at SCP YSL last night, and they had a pretty good selection of muses!
I even saw the leopard muse that guccigal has..and it's so stunning in real life! Once I saw the leopard, I forgot all about the black muse that I wanted....

I wanted to buy it soooo badly, but I have already bought too many bags this season! (Yes, the same sad story I know... )
The leopard muse is absolutely stunning in real life and it went really went with what I was wearing last night. (White cashmere sweater and skinny jeans, a classical outfit to offset the leopard muse)

The SA even asked me if I wanted to try it on and I had to refuse, because I know that once I carried the leopard muse in my hands..that would be it....

I had just gone into the JC store for the Ramona...but I still went into YSL nevertheless....*thoughts of leopard muse with my outfits still swirling in my mind*

Thank goodness I am not feeling any of the Chloe bags this season....

They are very different. The Ramona is a better shoulder tote. The Muse is more structured, but still soft. They are both great bags (now you will have to picture them in the sizes/styles you are interested in)...

i LOVE my oversized ivory but what's making my heart achee is that the more i carry it, the leather loosens up and when i put stuff in my bag the bottom bit sags!!!
i get so paranoid nowadays i'm sometimes push the bottom bit up or rest it upon something to 'maintain' it.

ok,,,,i think im going to get the black large muse listed on ebay - i have 1 day 20 hours to decide i want this as an everyday work bag, which from reading this forum im guessing it makes for a good one? i usually carry my cognac spy or a black bally, but i think this would be great-ive never seen one irl, but do the pictures do it justice or does it look worse/better?

It's a fabulous bag - perfect as an everyday work bag - I'd say GO FOR IT!

i'm convinced.....will post pictures when i get it , i really need a camera, i've promised pictures on so many forums and never posted, i just show my bags to my non-brand conscious friends and they're always like HOW MUCH did you pay for that..hehe
