... even if the big hand-topstitching on the muse bag does come loose, it shouldn't matter because it's machine stitched around the edges and held in place with rivets anyhow... nothing's going to come apart...

True - but the top stitching is part of the style of the bag - it enhances it alot the same way the top stitching on the Chloe Edith is an important part of that style. Anyway - Morri, I'm glad you got yours fixed. Like Gucci, I haven't had any trouble with mine (knock on wood!)

hi everyone -- i am new to this forum. i just spent a lot of time reading all your posts on the Muse. i am sort of new to high-end bags. i have a few but they have been recent acquisitions. anyway, i was in neiman marcus today and saw this bag i really liked and it turns out it is the muse. the bag was in the medium size. they did not have the large. for me, the size was fine as i don't like big bags but i am considering the large based on some posts here. i just have to see it first. anyway, they had it in the tan color, which is less camel and maybe more mustard. i know it is not too exciting of a color but i have lots of black bags and am not looking for a white one. do we hate this color? i thought it was fairly neutral. any thoughts? thanks!

I have found that the bags I have that are more neutral and "not very exciting color-wise" when I first see them - are the ones that I use and love the most. BTW - I have the medium size and I love the size of it (but I'm just not a "carrying a suitcase" type). Get the size that fits you and your lifestyle the best (and let us know what you decide).

Guccigal,I like white cause it is neat cut and very nice in summer. But I also love how rich the chocolate is... I am a sucker when choosing between bags.

I love my brown oversize as well. I use it wayyyyy more than any of my other bags (and I have a few...according to my husband!!)

hard choice. I love the white...I did return mine to get more of an all year round bag....you know? one I don't have to worry about what I set it on, etc.

My leopard one I have to be more careful than my black...

...so ask if you want a bag that you don't have to worry about to be everyday...but you do but you love bc its worth it

Key things to look for...if they are offering brand new...for well under retail FAKE always. for sure.

The last one looks like a person that used it maybe a few times....and needs cash so they start low.

Fakers don't sell used bags...and the forth one has alot of pics...detailed ones.

might be a dumb question but do you know if this bag is less expensive to buy in france? my brother and sister-in-law will be there soon and i thought of asking them to pick one up for me. in general, is it cheaper to purchase a bag in france (like a celine, etc...)?

also, i got the medium tan at NM. i really like it. is the hardware supposed to be shiny? mine seems a little scratched, just not smooth. i am wondering if it is return, in which case i should do an exchange.

daisy....the muse is probably $100-$200 or a little more less expensive in Paris.

The hardware isn't shiney at all and shouldn't have scratches made on them....if they are on there...its a natural thing that happened and it could be a return...OR handled in the store on the floor.

on the neimans tags...there should be a number on the price tag on the back in pencil...do yoiu see more than one number or one that is stratched out?

there is only one number in pen next to EMP# -- assuming that is the employee number? the bag was on the floor. it was the last one they had because another women came after me and they had to order it for her from another store.
