Guccigal - thanks for posting the photo's of the new Muses!

Personally (and this is just what I like/would purchase) - I prefer the Chocolate Brown over the Oak. While the Oak is still a beautiful bag (of course - after all it is a MUSE!) - I don't like the tone of brown - it's too medium brown for me. The Chocolate is so rich and tonal - I think it's just a special color.

As for the patent - hummm... I need more time to adjust. I still prefer the regular Muse leather for now.

Any Muse is a beautiful bag to me though!

As for muse sizing - I'm 5'5 and have the oversized Muse as well. I love the size - the fact that I can put so much into it - it's just perfect.

It has gotten softer with age. (It was almost rigid when it was new) - but it's still lovely!

Question about Muse Lock tonight I unlocked my Muse lock for the first time - I took it off and then decided it looked better on the bag - but it was really hard to get back on. It seemed like I needed to really push on it FULL FORCE to get it back on. (In fact I need the DH to do it for me - it was that hard!) - What about others - is your Muse lock really hard to manuver?

Needless to say I won't be taking the lock off ever again!

I also prefer the chocolate muse to the oak...but both are beautiful and it's absolutely a question of what you're drawn to personally.

beaugorix I had a bit of a giggle...I'm glad you could close it again . I have never tried to undo my lock and now,thanks to you,I never will .

i also prefer the chocolate over the oak. haven't seen the patent irl, so not sure how i feel about it yet.

beaux, my lock did that too. but the leather loosen up after a while and that it was easy to put on/off.

Hmmm......I don't see any orange tint in the red, wonder why my SA described it as an orange red??
Guccigal, I think it'll look great on the oversize too since the red tone is not as overwhelming.

Thanks for the pic bag.lover! I'm not sure how I feel about it. I kind of like it but at the same time I dont find it stunning. I think I preffer the patent muses but I'd have to see it on.

i've seen some stunning women in suits carrying the chocolate XL...i think the chocolate looks really good for work (esp. w/ black suits because it brings out the warm chocolate in the brown) and the oak would look better for more casual wear. because against jeans the chocolate looks more black...

Thanks for posting the pics of the red bag lover.
I'm kind of disappointed with the red. It looks so matte and not vibrant at all. The leather doesn't even look like that of the other muses. I was picturing a deep fire engine red red too. I'm hoping it's just the lighting or something. I won't cancel my order just yet.

The oak is to die for though but I have so many brown bags!

Posi, so you have to ask yourself....do you want a more worky bag...or do you have enough of those...the fendi b bag....or do you want a more casual bag...or do you have too many of those....fendi spy bag....

Maybe keep the XL chocolate and get the red?

Both are good choices!

I am still loving the red. I am getting that and the oak from saks.com in sept so it will be nice.

I love it when neimans, saks and bergdorf get preorders like that on there....so when you get the bag you can have alone time with it...rather than standing there with an SA. I like having things shipped...how else can you really decide what you want!

i really really love it--i think it's very me and would look great with me but in the photo, it doesn't look like calfhair to me, it looks more like just leather with glitter over it... and what's that thing on the bottom? it looks like a metal plaque? am i seeing things?

I didn't see it in person. My SA took pics and emailed it. Its def calf hair and that is all I know....YSL has the bag right now in Houston for the trunk show if you want to call today and ask. I think its the same price as the snow leopard. its def calf hair.

^^I do the same thing. I ordered the Chocolate and the Ivory Muse with the intention of sending one back (I love that NM let's you return things for so long) - my Chocolate muse arrived first and i've fallen so in love with her, I can't imagine ever sending her back. My Ivory Muse (which was originally my first choice!) should be here in a week. I hope I don't fall for her too!!!! Do I really need to be in the "mulitiple Muse" club!
It's worth it to pay the shipping to have the bags in my house - I can try them with different outfits and really see what goes with my wardrobe and style. With a SA breathing down my neck I never make the right decisions!

So does this mean that YSL won't be making the chocolate bags anymore (starting fall '06)? I can't see them selling both brown bags at one time?
