me too guccigal. this is wayyyy too early!!
i just came back from the YSL trunk show today. i have a headache thinking about all their fall and pre-fall offerings!!
saw IRL for pre-fall:
white patent large (pretty!)
black patent large (pretty too!)
the above are ready for purchasing if anyone is interested. SF YSL has not received the oversized patent though. other pre-fall patent colors are:
- sort of pale camel color (hard ot describe according to deadre, who is traveling with all the trunk show pieces and have made "friends" with each piece, hah hah)...i wonder if its like the camel spy bag that gwen stefani has carried around?? that would be yummy i think....
- chocolate patent, which i saw IRL on a different bag (tote). i didn't even know it was brown when i saw it as it had lots of deep purplish red undertones on it. in fact, i had mistaken it for burgundy when i first saw it. when i took it off the shelf and dragged it around the store in different light, i realized it was indeed chocolaty color, but not the color as you know it on the chocolate muse, whichc i have also seen IRL. very gorgeous!!! so they didn't have this leather/color combo on the muse in the store, but it has been ordered for pre-fall. i put myself on the wishlist just to see.
non-patent pre-fall: guccigal already told us but they are oak, red, kaki.
for fall, i saw IRL:
oversized bordeaux croc (OMG!!!)
oversized green croc (MORE OMG!!!)
oversized brown/bronze pony hair (interesting...not my cup of tea)
i didn't even bother asking how much the crocs were. i could never afford it. hah hah and believe or not, they are ready for purchasing!!!!
from the buy book, the only colors i remember are:
biccotto (orangey....is this the hermes orange??)
taupe (more like an orange brown to me)
green (have no clue what this looks like since there was no photo)
i am stupid for not taking pics of the photos i saw of biccotto and taupe, as i did have a camera in my bag. oh well. hope someone else can take pics!
btw, i have to say the following (and please excuse me if this is a known fact b/c it was shockingly new to me!
did you know the "buffalo leather" used on the muse handbags are actually NOT from the buffalo animal, but from calf???
i was flipping through the buy book and read about the muse on the muse section. they told why it was called muse and also there was a decription of the leather. although they call it buffalo leather on that page, in parentheses and in bold there was a following sentence that stated that it's actually leather from a calf. calf!!! following that bolded statement, that the leather actually underrgoes a process to achieve the buffalo skin TEXTURE. did you all know that already?? i honestly didn't and was thinking this whole time the muse was made of actual buffalo skin when in fact it is made of calf skin that has undergone a process to achieve the buffalo texture. i was reading this together with my SA and even pointed the "calf" part to her. she seemed kind of shock, like this was new info to her. i am intrigued by this so please let me know if i am crazy or if my eyes were playing tricks on me. i am pretty sure i read that careful enough and didn't misunderstand anything, but you never know!
