What do you guys think of this one? Is it also called "tribute" when there is no open toe? Pic by style.com

THese are La Perle not Tribute. Different family. Mischa Barton has them

Ok, I got my purple tributes today..However I have a problem. Earlier in this post someone posted a pic of there purple suede tributes that look like this...

Notice the black heel, well the ones that were sent to me, dont have a black heel, they have a dark purple heel....I know there is a 3" version and a 6" version....so does anyone what is up?!?!?!

Without the 6 inch heel it's a totally pointless shoe.

I am really confused because it is described as 4" on ysl.com but it looks higher than that.
And are they true to size?

^no they're true to size...are you a US 5 in all your other shoes? i'm an 8 but an 8.5 in CLs...i got a 8 in the tributes

yah size down..my foot sizing is all over the map. but generally i take a 8.5US in regular shoes and a 39.5/40 in CL and I have a pair of 38s (suede leather) in the tributes and a pair of 39s (patent leather) and both fit well.

I have a pair of brown platforms which bear a close resemblance to the new Tributes. Better fish them out of my shoe closet.

^ agreed, the only version i like are the red/purple original maryjanes (or the perle anklestrap pump)

the resort tribute sandals come in an acid green color thats pretty nice

I tried them on in both heel heights and found no difference in walking in either.

aspen, I dont know if these are classic because right now chunky and platforms are in but I dont think they're terribly trendy either. I think it's the same walking in either becuase the platform is also taller with the taller heels.
