and I love these!

love the double buckle belt, and the metal bow belt.

and that clutch is beautiful:heart:

I find it interesting that when you remove the choker bow from around the neck, there are some otherwise forgiving silhouettes here (for once) ...

all right...it's been four seasons (can you believe it?:p) and i can't stop marveling at ysl...i actually remember thinking that ysl gave me a very 'prada' feeling..you hate it at first and it grows into an obsession in the six months...

that's totally the way i felt about the first pilati collection...
the silhouettes were sooo different from everything else out there...
but now i can't get enough of ysl, and season after season, pilati keeps bring the heat...

^_^

Once again, Pilati soars.
It was so much more fluent than last season's. Adored all the bows (uniquely done) and especially this look:

I really love Pilati. This collection is pure YSL - so sophisticated and modern but true to YSL's past. Fantastic.

I really liked this show. But mostly I'm just in shock because Courtney Love was there!!!! I love her!!! But still I can't see why she was invited because it sure doesn't look like Pilati secretly loves kinderwhore

i've been meaning to say this, the collection seems very 80's to me. i think it's passe, but in such an oddly beautiful way! some grays..are such 'vintage' greys:blink:...the gold touches, the tulip skirts, the beautifully awkward proportions, the patchwork clutch, the magenta piece at the end, it seems like a very 80's magenta..even the music in the show was 80's-ish techno...

beautifully passe..does that even make sense?

and what amazes me, is that i can't think of a single piece yves saint laurent himself wouldn;t send down that runway!

passe means...over-or out of fashion...
is that what you mean>...?

that this is not current..that it is somehow dated??......
cause i don't think it is at all...
i think it is quite modern really....

no, no that's exactly what i meant..ack! this is so sticky..it looks very..my vocabulary is undermining me here....:p i think what i'm trying to say is that it looks so truthfully ysl, like actual ysl..something you'd find in a vintage store, but again i think it just may be the most modern collection in paris...like i said, i'm thikning it but just can't say it!

ahh...ok...

i think it is true that some vintage YSL looks incredibly current right about now...
the designer vintage stores around here have all been stocking up on it
(and raising prices as well.......)

:p

i have to say this...ebay is wonderful, an amazing leather skirt is something like $20, ridiculous!

after viewing this entire collection i must say the shoes are good, which i have never thought before, and the dresses near the end and some of the suits..it's hot and miss for me, but the majority i like

just went through the entire collection and i can finally say that this is very very strong.
some amazing ideas there, like the tunic, the piping and those neck bows (which are all over the place for next season)
lovely collection

best parts of the collection (after taking a quick glimpse):

1. pod capes. did i see one of those in a fellini movie? really adorable.

2. gold metal. that back detail was pretty killer, but those bows are the
topper.

3. genie pants. ok, not really, but props to him for making sheer pants with matching tops that you actually could feel sexy in. mmmhm.
