Full collection and campaign dropping tomorrow. So far so good, Baron finally got Steven (or his team) out of the studio again and he's clearly mining his Ralph Lauren F/W 2016 & S/S 2017 ads for inspiration this time.

More previews on the website and it seems the campaign covers both women's and menswear like F/W 22.

Great cast including Jacqui Hooper, Libby Taverner, Stella Hanan (finally!), Elodie Guipaud, River Klein, Emile Danckaert and Leo Cremer (maybe more to come?)

Meisel should focus on portraits, these days it's clearly his strength and the last thing that he still does very well. You look at these photos and it's the models faces that catch all your attention. Everything around feels unnecessary.

The « Zara by Meisel » book (they have to do it) is going to be quite epic.
Meisel’s photos really creates a feeling of timelessness which is almost paradoxal considering the public perception around Zara’s products.

Yes, but if they charge a huge amount for a copy of the book, it will loose it's luster for me.

I always wonder why they don't release a magazine at least once a year, with all their campaigns, not just Meisel´s...

Mesmerizing. I spent so long looking over the photos on the site this morning. Definitely his best campaign for Zara's studio collection in a while, especially after a few disappointing seasons.

Meisel is no longer the auteur he used to be, but there's no one else who can make their subjects and the clothes in the picture their absolute best (even when the clothes are only slightly better than your average mass produced fare).

Wow I had no idea Zara was doing these kind of campaigns. Really beautiful, makes you dream and buy into the look. Really well done. Better than most high fashion brands honestly.

Wow, Libby Taverner (how does she not have a thread yet?!) is a stunner. She stole the scene for me.

This is recapturing some of the magic we had been missing for so many years now.
So glad that he got out of the studio. This is excellent. Looking forward to much more of this.

In full agreement with others Baron, Meisel, Templer is a trifecta of perfection. Undisputed.

She does have a thread here. Seriously...Libby, Jacqui and Stella in one ad is a lot of competition for your attention . Finally some faces that stop you in your tracks, as opposed to run of the mill influencer girls.

I love it. Zara, along with Dolce & Gabbana and Fendi (last season), is the only brand that manages to take Meisel away from gray screen, and Avedon's B/W shots. It's autumnal and enveloping, warm and comfortable, simply divine. Libby is fabulous and steals the show.
This trio (Meisel, Baron and Templer) is unbeatable.
Always or almost... The Dolce & Gabbana FW25 women ad was a disaster.

They will. It will probably be under Rizzoli or Phaidon. A big chunk of a book.

Maybe because their audience, the mass wouldn’t buy it.
Those campaigns elevated the perception and send a message to the industry.
But the average person shopping at Zara doesn’t necessarily care about it, neither knows about Meisel and others.

And then there’s another issue: how can you curate a magazine that doesn’t look like a catalogue for a brand that renew it entire merchandise every months.

I don’t think it would be relevant.

Average person shopping at Zara doesn't care about those campaigns either. I don't see the issue with releasing a book of campaigns once a year. It would be a vanity project, just like working with Meisel, Baron and their teams.

It is a stunning campaign by Meisel and the team. I love the location, fashion styling, nostalgic autumn mood, and model casting. However, without a print campaign to collect a selection of the photographs from magazines, these images lose some of the magic to me. I still highly value print advertising.

Oh this is so good!
Love the video too, with that song. It's giving Coven vibes!
