Prada F/W 12.13 by Steven Meisel

Love the eyewear shots. The rest... not so much. It just feels incredibly uninspired and lifeless. There's hardly much energy and I can't help but think that perhaps it could have been a better campaign if it wasn't lensed by Meisel.

I'm realising that videogame-ish feel now and it totally makes sense, this is surely not the peak of their ad campaigns, but it's not so bad either, Prada did have worst conceptually if you ask me.
Love the domination of the purple + eyewear looks fabulous!

Is anyone else sick of seeing these typical Meisel poses in everything he does. I call it the "Luxury Lounge". Lately, I can tell he's shot something just by the way the models pose and carry themselves. Its akin to the head-tilted orgasm face pose of Mert & Marcus. Its making everything horribly unpalatable for me. I vote no on this campaign.

The images themselves are really great but the styling really isn't doing the collection justice.... I counted and only 17 looks from the show are in here. I'm not feeling the hats either

I'm disappointed because I feel like this campaign had the ability to be so much better. The cast really isn't that bad, but the set is horrible and reminds me so much of f/w 11 (girls laying around, lifeless, etc.). At least the girls in the last fall campaign looked pretty. It's just so boring and really does fall flat for me. It's certainly a downgrade from last season, and even the season before that. Meisel hasn't been doing it for me either much lately.

Haha, exactly! I love Meisel's work - when he is good he is amazing! but it's like sometimes he doesn't even try. case in point: this campaign

Despite the terrible and fake-looking background, it's a nice campaign. I'm not impressed either but I don't expect much from Prada for many seasons. I really don't get it, they can make something much better than they've done.
At least, I hope the usual video is more interesting than this.

The campaign concept and descrption makes me really excited for the video, but the pictures are not working for me. They're definitely not ba,d I like the colors, the lines the strictness and the attitude of the girls. But it lacks of dynamism, even with all that I can't find any thrill in this campaign.

I really do like it since it was my favorite collection of the season as per usual. However this looks like Abstracted Mod rather than "Futuristic Video Game" and the hat's couldn't be any more random. I love the shot's with 3 or more girls, I just wish all the shot's had more girls in them.

Magdalena is carrying this campaign imo. Every shot she is in my eyes go straight to her as well as Iselin. Anne V even behind Meisel's lense does nothing, and I am disappointed with Vanessa's performance. Elza manages to look well-seasoned with the big girls so I commend her.

Every element of the campaign is great; the colors, lines and shapes, as well as the posing makes me think I am in some posh London club in the 1960s. I am sold. 18+ soundtrack would work with this campaign video too.

i actually really like the setting, even though it's simpler i think it's much more 3-dimensional than last season's
i'm also liking the different perspectives and angles, nice colors too.. what kinda ruins it for me it's the bland expressions of the models with the exception of Iselin and (surprisingly) Magdalena

This Campaign Is all about Magdalena she looks amazing especially in the Eyewear pics, Iselin and Anne also looks great, the rest not so much

I like the angles, the cast, the styling, to photography, the concept, the look.
What I just dont get is the set. It gets the campaign so much down. It doesnt make sence, at least for a Prada campaign, and after such a rich set at Louis Vuitton there could be something bigger from Steven Meisels hands.
