Would love to know what she does to her hair to keep it straightened 24/7.

I know she's got gorgeous hair.
It looks like she just wash, blow dry and flatirons it every couple of days. She definitely doesn't have a relaxer.
I also don't think her natural curl is that tight to begin with.

Looks like a good old fashioned relaxer to me. There is no curl at the crown. I mean, she's mixed, but she's not white. There would still be a curl or a wave. I'm 98 percent sure her hair is relaxed.

I am slightly mystified by her hair...lol
I doubt it's relaxed. I always assumed she had some kind of dominican blowout going on, (she is dominican after all!) which sometimes contain chemicals. I remember years ago I saw her in that silly movie Get Over it with K Dunst and her hair was super curly

I'm assuming the younger pic is her natural texture, and it looks pretty loose.

Her hair always looks really flowy and healthy, I assume she doesn't use alot of heat. Or just has a really skilled hairstylist.

But she should go curly again, it was beautiful on her!

^^Thank you. I really don't get why her hair can't possibly be relaxed. She is Dominican but that doesn't really mean anything because Dominicans come in all shades and colors, from black to the palest white.

Hmm, yes dominicans as well as black folk of other ethnicities have a variety of different hair types from pin straight to curly (I think that's what you meant?) I wasn't suggesting her hair couldn't "possibly" be relaxed because she is dominican, I meant it doesn't look relaxed. Relaxed hair typically has at least a small amount of curl at the root or "edges"...

Anyway, for fear this conversation has taken a semi-ridiculous turn I will bring it back to something relevant: I would really love to know what her routine actually consists of!
And I'm not a fan of the lipstick she has been wearing lately.

Is it getting ridiculous to you? Aww, that's too bad. Just when I'm getting intrigued and engaged in the convo. Forgive me if I'm a little defensive about it, but that's because her imdb board (or at least when I frequented it a few years back) was filled with threads where people argued over her race and how black she was, and hair was always a big part of the discussion. Of course, the less black she was, the better for most people there.

Anyway, our experiences and/or perspectives are probably just different. All of the women I know who have relaxers, including myself, the hair is completely straight. That's the point: to eliminate the curl. I've just recently had my hair relaxed and there's not a curl to be found anywhere on my head. Two months from now, it'll be a different story because of new growth, but Zoe certainly has enough money or should by now to have her own personal stylist so she always looks on point.

I also have to respectfully disagree about the make-up. I'm kind of loving it. The red/plum lip is a hard one to pull off, but she does it well. Her outfits on the other hand, are rather wanting.

I think this is a fascinating convo too, just because the pics of her as a kid do not at all match up to the pics of her with curly hair. Her straight hair looks like mine after I go at it with a ceramic flat iron, but pics of me as a kid definitely show how curly it is in its natural state.

In her baby pics she looks like she has hair just like my sister; wavy, loose curls that are super easy to straighten, and with a Brazilian blowout become bone straight

Do you think its possible that if she was cast as "the black girl", they may have changed her hair to better fit preconceived notions of what it should look like? We need to solve this mystery!!!:judge:

That younger pictures resembles her sister more... Anyway, that's the first time I've seen her with her natural texture. Honestly, I believe that Zoe flat irons it primarily because her natural texture seems loose enough to achieve that "sleek" straightness.
