That younger pictures resembles her sister more... Anyway, that's the first time I've seen her with her natural texture. Honestly, I believe that Zoe flat irons it primarily because her natural texture seems loose enough to achieve that "sleek" straightness.

Flat irons and products have come a long way.
My texture is no where near as loose as Zoe's, and
I get it straight (and keep it that way) with a really
great titanium plated flat iron. Now I'm not saying that
it can't be relaxed, but it seems to have more body and
lustre to it that relaxed hair usually ends up with.
She probably also washes her hair with sulphate free shampoo/cond.
For curly haired girls, THAT really helps to maintain smooth curls.
