Zoe Saldana

She looks so beautiful! Heard an incredibly dumb interviewer for AP say to her "You're body looks sick" (meaning, you're body looks amazing). But seriously - wrong choice of words... Zoe handled it gracefully, though.

2013 Vanity Fair Oscar Party held at Sunset Tower on Sunday (February 24) in West Hollywood, Calif.

I love the Alexis Mabille dress so much more than her Vanity fair dress. I'm not a fan of the waist details. It looks like an awkward nightgown. I wish she hadn't changed.

She was my best dressed (minus the shoes) at the Oscars along with Chastain. Extremely boring red carpet this year though

She's working the Mabille dress, although the belt is just a lil tacky looking to me. don't like the shape of the 2nd dress.

Nice to see she spoke out on it and gave her reasoning, however my opinion of her is forever changed.

Yeah she's just talking **** there. Although from her perspective f**k what any thinks she was offered the role and she took it.

Basically lol

But on the other hand she looked a bit sad, looks like the all the backlash really affected her.But I really don't care what she says,or how good the movie end up being. This whole thing is/was wrong.

I'm sorry, but I don't understand why it's such a big deal. She's an actress and she did her job. People are overreacting and taking themselves way too seriously nowadays. Skin color should not define an actor, their acting should.

Anyway, she looks pretty in the video. Love her earrings:heart:

her skin plays a big part in this role because they actually had to make her skin darker for the role when there are other actresses of darker skin who can do a great job as nina too. as soon as they started applying makeup to darken her skin she should of said wait if you want an actress of darker skin then get one don't do a "black face" on me. what year are we in?? but money is a powerful thing:innocent:. the studio wants someone who is acceptable and would make enough money for them and she just wants to play the role regardless.

It's make up! All actors use it: to create bruises, to make them look like vampires, to make them look tired or sick, to darken their skin, to lighten their skin etc. It's all a part of creating a character.

oh my god that after party dress is atrocious.

and yes, it's make up, but we're not talking about people being made to look paler to resemble something that doesn't even exist - a vampire. we're talking about a dominican playing nina simone and being made to look like an entirely different ethnicity. nina simone is not a "character".
