I don't think everyone who wears them is trying to follow a trend, especially since certain people actually need glasses. If I actually had a need for glasses, I'd wear them, trendy or not. Or some other type of frame people used in the 50s/60s.

Tonight I went and saw her film '500 Days of Summer', it was brilliant! Zooey did marvellous.

All joking aside, I've seen candids of her in glasses before. I don't think she's wearing glasses purely to be trendy.

Edited to add: She also looks amazing in her Oliver Peoples campaign. So amazing, I'm considering getting one of the pairs she modeled. Those frames are so expensive, though!

I don't think that either... but they are a trend at the moment... especially among hipsters, so like it or not the associations probably going to get thrown around to a certain extent.

I'm not judging her motives behind wearing them, I don't think anyone needs to justify what they like to wear to others. But some people might like it, and others not. To each their own

I noticed her style is very doll-like... and she looks like a doll too, with her porcelain skin and big blue eyes.

I think those are the glasses she designed for Oliver Peoples, but with clear prescription lenses instead of tinted ones.

Yes! I saw 500 Days of Summer yesterday and very much loved it. I would consider seeing it in theatres again.

At the beginning of the film the narrator states something along the lines of 'This is in no way a love story.' Ha Though, I reckon it's a bit of a romance. I'd would recommend it in a heartbeat, it was amazing.

I actually think they look kind of a like too. I was on Justjared and they had the 500 days of summer advertised- in some of the pictures especially ones of the lower face where she is smiling I thought it was Alexis Bledel.

i just love Zooey i think shes so adorable in 500 Days (also love how they dressed her in the film) and cant wait for her new album.

alsom i have seen her in perscription glasses before, there were candids on here a while back (right after her engagement i believe) of her stepping out of an Apple store wearing glasses. i dont think Zooey follows the 'hipster trend' or whatever lol
