Vol. One sounds wonderful from the clips I've heard; it's really a must-buy. Obviously, it will get pitted against Scarlett Johansson's album, which I loved since I adore the 4AD sound--and it truly evokes This Mortal Coil. And I'm a tremendous Tom Waits fan, of course... But the albums are different even in their similarities, with Scarlett having a deep and haunting, unexpected vocal delivery and Zooey's seeming "vintage" and buoyant...
