When I watch the movie I feel very sad and get this strange feeling that I miss someone. For me it's not a happy movie. I almost wish the ending wasn't so hopeful.

I understand what you mean, it's not an all around happy movie for me either. Even though i very much enjoyed it, the story hit a bit too close to home... loving a person so much, but having that feeling in that back of your heart that somehow it doesnt feel completely right and something doesn't work. It's such a painful experience. On the other hand, I was happy that the ending was hopeful.

It's got so much charm though, with the lovely clothes and the humour and way the film is done with the going back and forth.. I think that makes the bittersweet-ness of the story a lot easier to take in.
