Zooey not keen on singing in films

Zooey Deschanel has revealed she isn't comfortable flexing her vocal cords on the big screen.
Outside of films, the (500) Days Of Summer actress is a singer in She And Him, a musical collaboration with producer Matt Ward, but told The Guardian she tries not to blend her love of music with her acting career too often.
She said: "Here's the thing about singing in movies, they call me and say, 'Wouldn't it be great if you sang in the movie?' and I say, 'No, it wouldn't be great because then I have to sing in character,' and then you have a director who's going, 'No no no, she would sing worse than that'... And then everyone thinks that is how you sing - I don't like it."
Zooey - who will perform in London and Minehead on May 7 and 8 respectively with She And Him - has succeeded in doing both on numerous occasions though.
"That certainly hasn't been on purpose on my part," she said.
"Actually I was doing a cabaret act and the director of Elf wanted my character to have a special skill, and he knew that I could sing so he wrote that part in for me.
"But then all of a sudden, everyone kept asking me to sing in movies - and I was like, can we stop it?"

lots of people compare them and some people dont like it. The photo cover of katy with an umbrella quite a while ago i 100% thought it was zooey but apart from that i dont think they are that similar in actual face shape...

It had nothing to do with their personalities which are VERY different imo. But oh well, I guess there is always going to be someone out there who is going to not like what your opinion is.
