Stepping out for a swanky shindig, Zooey Deschanel and Ben Gibbard paired up for an evening in Beverly Hills, CA on Wednesday night (February 23).

The “Yes Man” cutie looked gorgeous in a long-sleeved dress and heels as she and her “Death Cab for Cutie” hubby exited the Solange Azagury-Partridge Partnership with DKMS Launch arm-in-arm.

As previously reported, Zooey has been cast for a brand new TV series that was originally sold under the name “Chicks and Dicks.”

With “No Strings Attached” writer-producer Liz Meriwether at the helm, it has been said that the ensemble series will be about the sexual politics of young men and women.

Someone asked once upon a time about what car Zooey drives...

Well, this is a quote from Jane Magazine (2007) of what zooey feels about driving on her fantasy roadtrip.

Her ride: “I’d probably take my Volvo, it’d be a good road-trip car. I’ve had the same car since I was 17. I might get a new one soon, but it seems so wasteful. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with my car, it’s just not new.”

Her route: “Through the South—I filmed All the Real Girls in Asheville, N.C., and I loved it there—especially in early fall, when the leaves are changing.”

Her posse: “Hmm… my boyfriend and two other friends. No more, or someone has to be in the middle, which sucks.”

Her eats: “No chips. I don’t want to spend six hours sitting on the inevitable little cornmeal daggers that come as a result of one guy spilling a bag of Doritos. Also, I’d prepare for the inevitable road trip argument by stocking up on M&Ms for apologies and/or throwing.”

Zooey Deschanel doesn't enjoy ''just'' playing ''pretty girls'' and likes to mix up her movie roles.

The 31-year-old actress-and-singer- decided she wanted to star in forthcoming picture 'Your Highness' with Natalie Portman and James Franco to get the chance to play someone unusual from other films she gets offered.

She said: "My character has been trapped by an evil wizard for most of her life, so she's pretty weird. I like getting to be unselfconscious - I don't really feel so comfortable playing just, like a pretty girl - so to be able to be a maiden who has no table manners, that was fun."

However, she does know the movie - directed by Gordon David Green and filmed around the Northern Irish capital Belfast - is "silly", but was glad to work with the big-named stars.

She told Total Film magazine: "Great actors definitely make your days a lot better. I mean it's a very silly movie so we were all aware of that, but it was an honour to work with all those great actors."

Damon Wayans Jr. has reportedly signed up for a role in Fox's pilot Chicks & D**ks.

The comedy stars Zooey Deschanel as Jessica, a teacher who moves in with three men after a difficult breakup.

Deadline says that Wayans Jr. will play one of Jessica's new roommates. His character Coach is described as a lazy and unfit trainer.

Wayans Jr. recently filmed the ABC series Happy Endings, which will premiere in the summer. His role in Chicks & D**ks is said to be in second position.

He has also appeared in My Wife And Kids and the movies Dance Flick and The Other Guys.

Chicks & D**ks will also star Jake M. Johnson and Max Greenfield.
