i know everyone looks pretty ordinary dress wise, but what constitutes a dress that isn't boring. I feel like every year, everyone says that the dresses are boring, but what would be an interesting dress to you all personally? Examples??

I had Gianfranco Ferré in mind first (because of Anne Hathaway's similar Critics Choice dress), but Angelina is wearing Armani Privé Spring 2009 Couture.

Kate Winslet looks GORGEOUS but the dress is a snoozefest.
Angelina Jolie ... seriously. The woman has the potential to look amazing, so why doesn't she?

Freida is copying Nicole Kidman's Oscar dress and Amy Adams really should NOT copy Kate Winslet's SAG dress so soon after Kate wore hers ...

Wow everyone looks like crap. Does no one put any effort into these classic award shows anymore?

I like Freida, but too safe imo.
Emma is terrible boring and I don't want to say her face is ugly but.. her face is ugly. haha sorry
Angie looks nice but something is off. I don't think she matches with Brad lol

Gosh she looks ridiculously good. She puts a lot of the younger girls to shame.

Not sure about seasons, but just going from what the stars said on the red carpet, the ones I can remember are wearing the following:

Kate Winslet - Zac Posen
Sharon Stone - John Galliano
Penelope Cruz - Azzedine Alaia (Her hair kinda felt a bit like the Dior S/S 09 RTW hairstyles with that fringe to me. Am I the only one who thought that?)

Can't remember any of the others sorry!

You'd probably need anti-freeze in your blood to have survived that red carpet, given the weather at the moment - and between the weather and the general mood of things, this year's Bafta ceremony wasn't an occasion that lent itself to extravangant/interesting dressing. Everyone was playing it safe, keeping it modest.

Angelina at least tried something different - and most actresses looked OK in what they were wearing, there was just nothing that made you go "wow!". Ah well.

Marion Cottillard was actually at the ceremony presenting Mickey Rourke with his best actor award and she looked gorgeous, quite chic but not too overdone!

Kylie looks beautiful, chic dress and loved Amy Adams in that blue dress, but the only really standout was Freida Pinto in that stunning pink Oscar gown

BTW I swear I seen that dress before on either Kylie or Reese and it's old and it's either Chanel or Dolce.

I have with the winners bar supporting actress. I think Amy Adams should have got it. And lifetime award to terry gilliam was great. I will always love him as he did The Adventures of Baron Munchausen.

She looked good but OMG Sharon Stone is so pretentious. I think I rolled my eyes about 50 times during her intro.
