A Tribute to the 90s Supermodels

Well, that's what Mugler does for a girl. :)
I miss Mugler's collections. They were always a spectacle to watch.
And I miss Claude Montana's collections. Remember how futuristic his collections for his own label and for Lanvin were? The clothes always reminded me of the cartoon The Jetsons. :D

I also miss: Gianfranco Ferre, Azzedine Alaia, Bob Mackie, Geoffrey Beene, Yves Saint Laurent.....and the list goes on and on.
And of course Versace isn't the same without the master himself. :(

I really miss those days. The fashion scene of today is, for the most part, boring and uninteresting.

The models featured: Yasmin, Gail, Estelle, Carla, Cindy, and Yasmeen.

On a side note, the first time that I saw footage from this collection on tv, the song "What Is Love?" by Deee-Lite was playing in the background. I have that song on my mp3 player, and whenever I listen to it, it makes me think of this collection (even after all these years!).

love karen!! its great to see her blossom and getting groomed hitting supermodel status in the 90s, so much personality on the runway one of the best walkers of all time!

karen was walking and talking barbie.
her face and her body were so pin up style.

hey guys lets play a game: you know how boys are :rolleyes:but the good news is its not a sport or a competition its for fun out of interest!

imagine you are the editor of US vogue and you had to decide on who goes on the cover for each month for the year 1991, who would you choose? also you can elaborate if you like, like deciding the designer they wore and/or photographer, its up to you.

however you must follow these rules: :judge:

1 for the months of january & april you have to include 3 models for the cover. so january=3 models, april=3 models
2. when choosing linda for a cover please specify the hair colour make sure its correct. for instance choosing red haired linda for february or march 1991 is incorrect cause she was blonde at that time.
3. do not include actresses or singers only models.
4.you can you use the same model twice or more.

thats it!!

lets see your choices, i'll post mine soon...

^Ooh! Sounds like fun. :woot:
But.....so many choices! The only one I can think of for sure is Linda, as 1991 was the year that she was at her peak. But all the others? Yikes! So hard to choose!
