A Tribute to the 90s Supermodels

Btw, I was kind of surprised at first to hear the news about Karen's issues. I had always been under the impression that Karen had her feet planted firmly on the ground. She was (is) a very intelligent woman. I once read somewhere that she speaks 6 languages (including Greek and I think Latin too).

Some classic Claude Montana, Part 1

Here are some pics of the futuristic designs of Claude Montana, who was one of the big names in fashion during the Supermodel Era.
His designs always reminded me of the cartoon The Jetsons. :D
And I loved the way that his collections were choreographed. The models always had a languid way of walking in his shows. And of course, his shows were always loaded with Supers.

I'm glad more Niki Taylor pictures were posted. I think it was because I was living in Miami during the 1990-1993 years, but Niki was HUGE there.
Well she's from Florida if I remeber correctly....and she has that look!

anybody have these Elaine Irwin pics bigger?

Depression is not related to intelligence or having her feet planted on the ground, it's a disease. That disease could happen to everybody anytime.

Yes, I'm aware of that. My point was that I never would've imagined that she was undergoing a personal struggle of this kind. She seemed to have her life well put together. She seemed like someone who could accomplish just about anything she wanted.

Yes, that was also my impression!!!! She always looked like a life-loving person, happy and content. I have a documetary about her and she was so positive and charming that this picture of her as a depressive individual is so ... But that is the nature of such diseases, especially if it's bipolar depression. When person is bursting with energy and positive thinking, capable of doing great things and genoius ideas. But then follows dipression with total lack of energy and interest for life. Some patients with such diagnosis don't even wash themselves during that period.
So sad for such amazing beauty!!! :( But no matter she is one of my all time fav models!!!

Two GORGEOUS pics of Karen at the 1991 Spring Couture collections.

^Thanks for those Angie pics.
And Claudia looks really beautiful in that picture wearing the red cap. It would've made a fantastic magazine cover pic.

No prob, but I have to say I strongly dislike Claudia in this edit.

I agree with you. I almost take that picture to put my fake Vogue US cover,Feb or Dec issue.

About Karen, I hope she has the help that she deserves. At least, she has a diagnostic about her disease and now a psycologist could follow her and help her.

that ed is one of the few times Cindy was used in an interesting way. To me, it seemed like people were going for this All American thing and I think that was all wrong. Cindy was too exotic for all that

^I agree. I'm not a fan of most of Von Unwerth's work, but this particular editorial is quite impressive.

im not a cindy fan, but in this editorial i really like her look. especially her eyes look amazing.
