^That is a successful attempt to create a look I must say.

Acid wash jeans are a very very specific look that work in very specific situations. Unfortunately, they were so hot and happening in the late 90s/early 2000s that everyone I know owns a pair or two that they do not know what to do with today. But they were really 'it' for a while I remember -for some reason. Now I look at my Versace, Dolce and Cavalli jeans from that era and I cringe, but I cannot also bring myself to get rid of them since they remind me of a hedonistic moment in fashion.

Plus, men and women are a little different, let's be honest. Women can get away with that look -in a tongue-in-cheek way- but men.... it is really difficult to muster the courage to put a pair of acid wash on and think you look the way you want to - in 2009.

MANGO has bleached jeans in black and blue.

Yeah, the spanish chain stores are packed with them! I still havent given in tho...

Rumi from fashiontoast is wearing jeans from Walmart. They are quite trashy/harsh but they look pretty good on her. I prefer bleached jeans that are a bit more subtle though..

Those are seriously from Walmart?! Did she add the holes? I guess Ill have to check Walmart. I prefer a little less bleached too but I dont know... Ill have to check them out in person. If theyre cheap enough I might considered it.

I remember in high school it was a big trend to throw chloride on your jeans to make it look like acid washed...That would be something very easy to do at home..

i totally agree with you, without spluring $300 on ksubi jeans, it's easily diyable with bleach and you'd get the look easily

i can't believe they're walmart jeans! they look incredibly amazing!! i want them!

I don't like those Wal-Mart jeans. Did they come like that, or did she edit them?

^This is what she said about the jeans:
And yeah I never thought that Walmart would be the one to get me excited about denim again. Weird. For the record, they came in this wash and I just cut the rips in them.

They didnt have those jeans at our Walmart. So either they are totally sold out or are to new... Im going to check another Walmart tomorrow.

Forever21 just put up a Balmain-esque bleached jeans. I hate to admit, I'm tempted to buy it. I want to buy it just so I can destroy it without feeling guilty. It's better than spending $$$ on already destroyed jeans IMO. It's made out of 57% ramie, 26% cotton, 16% polyester, 1% spandex. What do ya'll think?

i think the ones rumi is wearing is pretty atrocious to be honest. I've got ones from topshop and they're the best fitting for me and the farthest I'll go in terms of acid wash

My sister bought a Balmain acid jeans, but she doesn't know how to combine it with other garments. Is there only the chance ti let it look fashionable in combination with a leather jacket or a boyfriend blazer?

Thank you in advance :flower:

Diy

Lots of fun to be had with a bottle of bleach and a bin liner. Bought some great distressed jeans from Zara and beached them scrunched up in a bin liner overnight. Additional work with a pumice stone and now they look great. Also works great on kids jeans.

YanUK, well post pics or it didn't happen. :p
Fashionluv, tbh, if your sis can still return them she should if she doesn't know how to style them. loose fitting shirts of a solid color or differing textures and the shoes imo are the hardest to get just right but once you do you're off! :]
