Advice about Starting & Promoting a Fashion Blog - See Post #1 for Thread Rules

I've just started a blog pretty recently (link is in my signature) and at the moment I am messing around with the layout. As far as my layout direction goes, I'm really not sure what to do with it or what looks good.
Generally, what do people find likable in a blog layout? I'm trying to keep mine simple, but I'm not sure what others think of it or if it looks too confused/messy...

Greg, why not just make it your username for TFS "My Name Is Greg" ? Even though it's really simple, I think it's interesting

I agree... I really like that name. Often simple is better.

MaverickMalone - As far as the layout goes, I like it so far. I really like the choice of font and simplicity of the header. What are you thinking about for your content?

I was thinking basically a little bit about my day to day life, fashion reviews, lots of pictures from me and others and any designs of my own that I want to post.

I like the colour choices and just like with my own blog I use a simple white background. For people to return to your blog you need some photos otherwise it won't evoke any interest. If you're blogging about your life then you definitely need a steady flow of posts and photos.

Love it! it has that satorialist feel, but with substance and articles to it, I would say it is a little scattered as far as articles go, but I know that building articles and categorizing comes with time, I would say that the layout is a little plain jane, I would go more minimal and classic to make your articles and photos pop

I run a teen blog called Miss Couturable at http://www.misscouturable.com. It's not necessarily just a fashion blog -- I just call it a teen blog. It was a finalist for 'best teen weblog' at the 2008 Bloggies (http://2008.bloggies.com).
I'm looking to improve my blog for the new year since I've been running it for 1.5 years -- and I'd love it if you all could give me some suggestions? Outfit posts? Q&A? More fashion commentary? A different layout? Any special requests?
