Sarah Burton looked to the Victorian era for the collection, with spectacular results...

The gowns look too Marchesa-like, I don't like them at all. The only stand out pieces here are that dark green dress with the ruffled velvet skirt and the bordeaux fur (?) piece. It baffles me how Sarah just doesn't try anything new at all even after all this time. One would think she's established enough by now to try something that is not ruffled and belted and pretty much rehashes Lee's last collection over and over. I'd like to think she's not that one-dimensional as a designer? There must be something else she can do for this brand?

I don't find this boring I just dislike it because she is doing the same things repeatedly and getting further and further away from the real McQueen.

It's all very beautiful but it is nothing new, and I think what was great about McQueen was that everything seemed to be new and inspiring each season. It's almost as if Sarah is scared to move away from the first post-McQueen collection since it went down well?

I agree with Crying Diamonds. Every season she moves farther and farther away from everything mcqueen was and stood for. Its not ugly, some of it is quite pretty, but its not mcqueen, and its heartbreaking to see it under his name.

It's beautiful which is all it needs to be for pre-fall. It seems like she's also moving to the more severe silhouette for the suiting which I'm happy to see. It was almost becoming too frilly and "light" in her previous collections. Great shapes and it's everything it needs to be for the season. Let's hope that for the main season though that it is bit more thought provoking and in depth.
