Alexander McQueen Pre-Spring 2007

are you guys kidding me? that pink dress is awful! yuck...

I must agree. That said, I love the second look. The proportions are perfect. Would totally wear something like that. Maybe will stop by the mqueen boutique. Though I agree, I could go to theory and get the exact same look. i just love these proportions though.

This is horrible...not at all McQueen, and immediately struck me as something Derek Lam or Michael Kors would do, like another poster mentioned. He is really selling out big time since his last couple of disappointing collections, not even bothering with his old edginess now. I think it's the wrong direction, he will alienate the fans and I'm not sure that the NY "Sex & the City" middle-aged socialites will buy it.

I hate those stiff folds combined with the flared hemline... :yuk:
I agree, this pink dress is the worst. It just looks stiff, awkward and clumsy. You probably have to worry about the dress bumping into something else all the time when you wear it. The color is also wrong for this kind of shape and volume. The styling, make-up, even the model herself don't look right either. Everything is just so make-shift looking. It could be better if they had spent more time doing more interesting styling before they did the photo-shooting.

Yawn. I think I saw that dress in John Lewis last week.

It's too bad. I usually LOVE McQueen. :(

Ewwww
All those pre-seasons things are totally ridiculous. and pointless.

As for those dresses... I think we'd better blame François Pinault than Alexander McQueen... In my humble opinion, Alexander would certainly prefer make beautiful dresses - like in his good ol' days - and not THAT Oscar de la Renta-like pink dress :yuk:

Well, the first dress is just lovely...looks very Alice in Wonderland. But the rest is just grotesque looking. The pink number looks too much like a cheesily-made prom dress.

I don't like any of it, I find it really boring, to say the least.

Where's the real McQueen? It bothers me very much that he is doing this. I mean, "bad boys" like JPG and John Galliano managed to keep a bit of themselves and still sell, although their "edge" has become dated and cliched. Oh bother...

this Mcqueen is starting her RTW,and it's can't stop in HC a long time, this is a process of society,

i really like the vest & pants outfit, reminds me of bianca jagger (studio 54 etc.) even though im not really impressed theres something i like about it, i would love to see the rest.

and the novak hobo is great too, imo.
