And lord knows no teenage girl would ever be exposed to something so naughty and inappropriate IRL. After all, they're too busy churning butter and learning how to be a humble, faithful wife and mother to know about sexual hand gestures.

Sorry? What do archaic notions of what women should do and be have to do with this? It's not about what 14 year olds know or do not know. It's about how fashion portrays them and how we as a society worship it as cool. In Scandinavia 14 year old (girls and boys) are considered children. Sorry. It's still creepy.

God, yes! I think people are mistaking the negative comments as prudish, when it's in fact more about this exaggerated display of sexuality for vulgar monetary gain! And btw, the ones saying 'but this is how we roll'....well, doesn't exactly make it cool, does it? Anyway, thank God nothing about this brand appeals to me. Those Teva style heels does look cool though.....

About a season ago Wang started a charity to deal with youth issues and social change. So when I see trash like this it actually makes me wonder how genuine his intention for that charity was.

but fashunviktim is discussing their issue with Kaia being in the campaign as a 14 yr old with the others even though she is not displaying any behavior that would make someone think its inappropriate. it actually does come off prudish... no one is saying that just because people roll that way that it makes it cool. people are asking what is so outrageous or try hard about these images because of the fact that this is normal everyday life for some people.

LOOOL

Unless my 15-yo self was an exceptionally streetwise, sexually-precocious, arrogant teen, and I know teens nowadays that have that same sort of brash attitude— I hardly think 14-yos making obscene gestures (for the camera… in a fashion campaign) is really worthy of pearl-clutching. Teens are like that— with that brand of act-before-you-think instead of think-before-you-act attitude, unless you grew up in a convent in Korea. I mean, wasn’t Brooke Shields only also 14-yo when she posed not-innocently for those Calvin Klein Jeans shots…? Not to mention, she was 15-yo when she starred in The Blue Lagoon. And that’s in the ‘70s… Wang’s obnoxiously confident teens are just a tradition really, more than a taboo.

The campaign is totally contrived, but Wang is hardly hiding his privilege behind any thuglife-posturing so it’s all good with me. And they definitely didn’t leave out any authentic teenlife details that’s going to get that demographic panting for more. So job well done, as always. If there’s a constant strength of his, it’s his ability to always offer the strongest branding from season to season.

And the inclusion of “Billy On The Street” poster in one of the subway shots is jeezwillilckers-awesome.

You seriously think that's how Kaia rolls?

This is about as far from youth issues as you can get. The teens are not doing anything inappropriate and the rest of the girls are in their 20s. As a privileged white girl myself who can very much see my life in this campaign - I would like to say please do not ever compare privileged girls in their 20s binge drinking, casually doing drugs and smoking joints to youth with actual issues - it is so far from it. Casual partying is very far from addiction. Why would you want social change for anyone else? People can do what they want with their own bodies if it isn't hurting anyone.

Awful. Who would want to look like that?

Addicts at a house party, not a good look.

If i saw this campaign outside the store i would't even go in. It looks cheap, gross. The blue on Anna ks weird. The squad thing is just soo stupid.

They finished with this image.

Is this campaign printed in some magazines?
