Just wanted to add, I helped out his family at the sample sales so I wanted to say that his stuff is very good quality, extremely wearable (especially all of his cashmere knits), and sizing does run small (occasionally). Usually pretty true to size except for pants.

H&M has some "favorite picks" I don't know how it's called, but it's the people who head design H&M that hand pick their fave pieces, and the styling is so similar to AW. What I am a saying is that an average street brand like H&M has lots to offer that comes close to Alexander Wang's stuff, of course, I can't say it will equal his stuff... ..

All I am saying is his stuff is way too average for the what he charges.

The problem with buying stuff in London from designers like Wang, and The Row is that we have to suffer enormous tariffs, so unbelievable. Even Yves Saint Laurent is a couple hundred bucks more, now unless i'm mistaken YSL is french so god knows why its cheaper in America.

i have yet to be wowed by alexander wang's "designs". everything i see strikes me as derivative and uninspiring. he (or his pr team) is obviously adept at generating a buzz, but how long can that last?

i did buy one of his shirts today at a used clothing store (only because it was $15 and i'll probably take it to a consignment store). this is the first of his pieces i have actually handled, and i find the quality fairly disappointing (especially since it was probably a $300+ shirt).

where are his clothes made? the made in... tag has been snipped off this shirt.

I think Alexander Wang & the designer Wayne Lee (of Wayne)..
may be two of the my favorite up & comers...
Neither is all that groundbreaking from a design/innovative P.O.V.
but they're both so damn cool... & it just WORKS... so well, too..

I hsntly don't see many hipsters dressing in this fashion, rly...
Their styles tend to be a lot more kitsch, imo..
This is much too laid-back..

His stuff can fall into H&M territory if styled in a trite manner...
Though I think Lim takes the cake on H&M comparisons, rly...

he's finding his groove more and more as each season comes...what I like is the simplicity and modernness of his designs, as worn so beautifully by strawberryminou. I see him as being ahead of the trend curve and making them instead of following behind. as european clothing becomes more expensive he likely will start rising as an edgy option to american buyers. I also like the fact that much of this season transcends age barriers and isn't just suited to young girls but can be worn by all women.
