Recent ads have surfaced for Sonia Rykiel ss09 featuring a red-head that has a remarkable resemblance to our Alice! While I certainly hope that it is her, I have a strong feeling that it isn't. (
don't get disappointed) While she did rock it at Sonia Rykiel (which was the best and my personal favourite show of the latest season), she was in the 'surprise' section, wearing a dress made by Karl for Chanel inspired by Sonia Rykiel as a gift for her 40th anniversary. She was not involved in the main section, so her casting seems unlikely, as her casting in the show was through Karl. I was very lucky to have actually been there beause she was fantastic.
Plus, though this might make me sound self-important, I think that I would have heard something! But then again, people are sketchy on castings until the campaigns actually come out. I had no idea that Anna J was in 12 campaigns this season, and Toni Garrn (who is EVERYWHERE in Paris at the moment) is in 8.
In other news, men't fashion week is starting today, after a very lack-lustre Milan season, widely touted as 'recession-wear', that only had a few stand-outs for me. Paris men's starts today, and then the extravaganza that is couture straight after! I am so excited. In these tough times, I hope the designers show that fashion is always creative, relevant and important. Also,
very exciting Alice developments, so keep an eye out the next week! (Ooh la la!

Can't wait!)
Okay, after length discussions with fellow collegues to gather information, the girls in the Sonia Rykiel campaign are Kim Noorda, Alex Sandor, Viktoriya Sasonkina, some dark brunette who no one can identify, and
Alice Burdeu (!!!!!!!!

). I will field calls to various people when I have time to confirm the campaign.
