Week 11: Congratulations Alice
After an intense 11-week journey, Alice Burdeau took out the 2007 Australia’s Next Top Model title last night during a live series finale from Fox Studios in Sydney. The 19-year-old Victorian succeeded fellow Top Model finalist Stephanie Hart.
“I’m so excited I won. I have wanted to model for as long as I can remember, and now my dream is finally becoming a reality,” the red-headed glamour said last night.
“This whole experience has been amazing, and I’m looking forward to working in the industry with some of the best in the business.”
The ultimate decision came down to the panel of judges, including series host Jodhi Meares, Alex Perry, Charlotte Dawson, Jonathon Pease and Jez Smith, who were joined by special guests Napoleon Perdis,
Vogue Australia’s Kirstie Clements and Priscilla Leighton-Clarke from Pricilla’s Model Management.
“This third series of Australia's Next Top Model has provided exceptional talent. I’m thrilled about Alice winning. She is completely ready to embark upon a career in modelling. She is a winsome beauty and her look embodies what we’re seeing on the runways in Europe at the moment,” Leighton-Clarke said after the willowy model was announced as the winner.
As Australia’s Next Top Model, Burdeau won the prestigious prize package including a one-year deal with premier model agency Pricilla’s Model Management; a contract as the face of Napoleon Perdis, including an international photo shoot; an eight-page fashion feature in
Vogue Australia; a trip to New York; plus a Ford Fiesta XR4. Watch this space!
