“Do you see the emu?” asked a bubbly Amanda Hearst, pointing toward the expansive fenced-in farm behind her family’s Water Mill spread. A giant ostrich-like bird was indeed flapping its feathers a little more than a touchdown pass away from the pool, where houseguests were splashing around in the hot summer sun. And the emu was just the beginning. The farm also has miniature goats, a donkey, a mini-horse, ducks, chickens, geese, cats, dogs, an African gray parrot, and doves. This is where the publishing heiress comes year-round, especially during summer weekends, to flee the concrete jungle. “We used to rent [in the Hamptons], and it would always be in Southampton, Water Mill, or Bridgehampton,” says Hearst. But for the past 10 years her family (which includes Amanda’s socialite mom, Anne Hearst, and her novelist step-dad, Jay McInerney) has occupied its Peter Cook–designed manse, which incorporates leftover marble mantelpieces her great-grandfather William Randolph Hearst flew in from Europe to furnish his famous castle in San Simeon, California.

She is the granddaughter of William Randolph Hearst, the American newspaper tycoon whose life inspired the movie Citizen Kane. Although known for some time, Luis and Amanda met at a summer party on the island of Tagomago Matthias Kühn and Norma Duval, which could be love at first sight. Their relationship began in early summer, so far have not appeared together in public on several occasions. It appears that Luis, who recently confessed to us: "I would like to have a girlfriend, and if I don't have one is because I have not found the right person". Is there something distasteful about Luis?
Afaik he's an handsome and wealthy Spanish aristocrat (I would call that a very good catch) and before him there was Alejandro Santo-Domingo, who is even more loaded, decent looking and from a very powerful family himself.

Is there some gossip I am not privy to? If so, please do share.

Also, to American posters, is Amanda originally a Cali girl? I have an issue with her accent and the way she express herself. She sounds quite vulgar to me (I apologize if I offend anyone) especially when I compare her speech to the smooth and pleasant tones of other NYC socialites like Olivia Palermo and Ivanka Trump.
Again, I apologize if I came out offensive. As a non-English native, some accents are more appealing to me than others.
