Amanda Ware

In the candid, the two blondes upfront (Marie and Kristen) are kind of "stealing" the shot with their posing, but if I were to look at polaroids of all three girls lined up Amanda would definitely be the stand-out with her better bone structure. JMHO

Plus I think we are forgetting that she is quite fairly new to the modelling game with ausntm being her first modelling experience? or am I wrong? and I guess she isn't one of those lucky newbies who are able to transition successfully with modelling with no experience.

Yes, she is an inexperienced model. She has not had years of experience like some of the girls on the show or I suppose the "natural instinct" some models are fortunate to have. (However there are some successful models, to me, who just look good because they look good -- at least by the designer's standards -- and continue to be successful because they have the right look rather than what they bring to a shoot or runway in terms of skill.) Even if she doesn't "get it" to the satisfaction of the show's viewers/fans, I do not see this as foretelling of her future prospects.

I like what Alex Covo had to say about shooting with Amanda on his blog:

I read (somewhere on the interweb), that some people think amanda has a great body and can’t give good face. I beg to differ I never watched an episode of Australia’s Top Model. This isn’t reality TV. it’s the grind of castings, test shoots, meetings, surviving and making the most out of every opportunity. It’s a job interview every single day. Good luck to Amanda, and hopefully we’ll get to share a lemonade again

I think that she is on the right track if she continues making good first impressions with the people she meets and works with (which is something that she consistently did on the show).

Junglecat, thanks for posting my twitpic previews! Haha
She was great to work with, and I don't see the deal with everyone saying she needs more work. Some models I've shot who have done tons of work just stand there, and Amanda really knew what she was doing.

The 5th shot is so gorgeous!:heart:She has been improving a lot and finally gives range in her facial expressions!^_^

I really love this shoot. Amanda is connecting well with the camera and giving something different in each photo.

There is a short article in the Herald Sun about Amanda's stay in New York. Nothing new, but Priscilla is happy with the results:

Amanda next top international model

THE TV show, AUSTRALIA'S Next Top Model has lived up to its lofty name yet again.

This year's winner, Amanda Ware, being snapped up by top New York agency Elite Models.

Ware's Australian agent, Priscilla Leighton-Clark, said the Gold Coast student had a big future and instead of spending a week in New York, Elite had extended her stay by 3 1/2 weeks.

"The agency has fallen in love with her," Leighton-Clark said. "They have kept her there and are grooming her.

"Owing to her visa, she is not allowed to book any work over there, but she can go and see people. She is just so open to learning. She has been getting a terrific response."

Ware is due back in Australia next week.

Ware looks set to follow in the designer heels of fellow ANTM winner Alice Burdeu.

Last year's ANTM runner-up, Cassi Van Den Dungen, was also offered a place on the Elite roster, but turned it down to stay in Victoria with her bricklayer boyfriend.

I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the Bonds campaign, but I hope that we continue to separate work from the girls.

Parade no walkover for leggy Aussie model

"WITH legs like these, you'd think striding a catwalk would come easily.

But Australia's Next Top Model winner Amanda Ware was assigned a walking coach as she strutted her stuff in the Big Apple recently.

"The walk over there is much different than what it is here," Ware said.

"It's just a different style. I was a bit uncoordinated at the start, but we got it in the end."

Top agency Elite Models has signed Ware on a three-year contract and she will head back to the US in January.

Ware and ANTM runner-up Kelsey Martinovich have followed in the footsteps of models Miranda Kerr, Catherine McNeil and Sarah Murdoch in a campaign for Bonds.

The striking duo will meet fans and pose for photos at Chadstone on Friday."

:flower:

they don't fit together in pictures because they are so different... it disturbs really...

I glad to see that Elite are really invested in Amanda's career! Sounds like she'll be all set for fashion week, too.
