Interview: Ana Beatriz Barros
She began her career at age 14, knew nothing about fashion and has been rejected repeatedly by designers, but di turn around and today she is on Models.com (virtual bible of fashion) ranked in 11th position as "Sexiest Top Models", besides being brokered in nine countries: London (Next London), New York (Elite), Milan (Fashion), Barcelona (Elite), Copenhagen (Elite), Stockholm (Mikasa), Munich (Munich Models ), Paris (Silent) and its parent agency in Brazil (Lumiere Models).
Animale, Chanel, Diesel, Christian Dior, Christian Lacroix, Jean Paul Gaultier, Paco Rabanne and Victoria's Secret are among the brands that have paraded. RV: How was the first time you went to a casting?
Ana: I was 14, wore apparatus, had no notion of anything. It was all very strange.
RV: What was your first show?
Ana: It was the Ellus in 1997.
RV: What is the best lesson you learned when you were starting?
Ana: Be professional and foremost.
RV: What not to do at the beginning of a career model for both girls and boys (The new-face)?
Ana: Do not get discouraged by rejections and to persevere.
RV: Currently, the new generation of boys and girls models is increasingly strong market, you bet on some new-face?
Ana: Yes, Alicia Kuczman Way of models.
RV: What is the biggest challenge we have faced in the modeling career?
Ana: Being away from loved ones.
RV: Have you thought about giving up the career?
Ana: Several times in the beginning, I did not understand very well and did not have the preparation that I have today.
RV: In your opinion, what was your first big job?
Ana: The campaign's Guess.
RV: You have more than 13 years of occupation. There is still some work or healthcare professional who would like to work?
Ana: Yes, I would like to work with Inez van Lamsweerde.
RV: Have you done something crazy to get a parade or campaign?
Ana: Hopefully not.
RV: What are the main constraints that you have suffered on the catwalk?
Ana: Falling is worst of all. In the parade of the TNG, when I opened the parade and hinder the entry of Reynaldo Gianecchini.
RV: As with any profession, we received all kinds of proposals. Already received some indecent proposal to do some work?
Ana: Yes, once the dictator Gaddafi invited me to attend an event in Sant Barth.
RV: The photographer Terry Richardson is known for his soft-p*rn. How was working with him for the Pirelli calendar and has made top-less?
Ana: I love the kind of Terry. I've worked with him several times and always with pleasure, very respectful and never went over my limit.
RV: How is your preparation before a parade?
Ana: I pray the Our Father.
RV: Is there a difference between the harassment of the press here in Brazil and abroad?
Ana: There is a difference. I am always treated with care.
RV: In all these years of occupation, you can get an idea of how many countries have visited and lived? What place you scored more?
Ana: I have visited over 40 countries, lived in several Paris, New York, Milan, London and the places that were more marked Sirilanca, Madagascar and Thailand.
RV: When you think a model should retire?
Ana: I think each one has its time.
RV: After his "retirement", which intends to follow in the area?
Ana: I will improve in studies of art, love art and want to work with it.
RV: Now you live in NY, plans to return to live in Brazil?
Ana: Sure! But actually I live between New York and Sao Paulo. Brazil is my country.
RV: You must be inside the debate on quotas for blacks in the parades of SPFW. Just as some designers have argued, you believe that black models do not have qualified for an event like this?
Ana: I disagree! Blacks have the most beautiful in the world!
RV: Now to finish our interview a "Fast Questions." A dream of consumption?
Actually my dream is to build my own family.

I have two major campaigns in progress, but still can not reveal ...
The brushing clip is...deep? That's one of the weirdest things I've seen in a while. Ana looks beautiful in both clips, though. But I like the Angel one more.
