Ann Demeulemeester Shopping Thread

yesss!! congrats!
Antonioli is seriously the best... I love the little cotton bag they include with each purchase!

And here's the two tops I mentioned....
The first is the medallion print from this season. There are so many ties! I am still trying to figure out all the ways it can be tied
I tried to capture the color. It's black, but has a brown and purple tones to it as well... very versatile.

The second is from 2006. I've worn it as a top, but I think it could be skirt too. The print is fun for summer.

Mona, your Ann D goodies!
Thanks so much for sharing, those motorcycle boots are awesome, as is the top and the skirt..hmm, isn't that everything? I love the print that Ann D has for this season and the combination is irresistible when it's used on this top.

Great buys Mona! I love the black version of the medallion print top, and those boots are divine! I'm sure you will get lots of use out of them for years to come!

steph, love loveeee your boots! They are seriously gorgeous.

mono, I like your moto boots too. All your AD buys are fab.

mona, love the prints on both those tops. gorg. And the boots! I still love the triple laced boots from this past season even if they aren't the most practical for a variety of reasons...

^ the triple lace are the ultimate, mother of all fantastic boots.

Mona Mona Mona~!!!

I love everything. There's something about that skirt that makes me love it- it's just so fun.

Do you mind telling me how the motorcycle boots run?

congrats Steph!

Thanks, Princess, steph, Cherry, sergio, Meg, and justlooking!

Princess - any update on the tie tunic? Were you able to find your size? I forgot to mention, it actually comes with a little instruction book

justlooking - the boots run big. I took a full size down, and I still have room. If you are considering them, I cannot rave enough them. I practically live in mine

^Hey Mona, that's nice to know! I took the plunge and ordered it in white...great colour for summer and I figured I will be able to "winter-ize" it with all the black and gray in my closet!
I can't wait to get it! :D

^^Absolutely! That's what I was thinking too. The top looks great on it's own, but also layered. When I tried it on, my SA helped me experiment with different looks. It looks phenomenal underneath a blazer, and I also tried on one of those short, short skirts (tutu-like, in a cotton jersey) to give the top more volume. Such a fun piece!
I am so glad you decided to get it; you will love it! I look forward to seeing how you wear yours. I haven't worn mine yet, but I think I will this weekend. Stay tuned for pics....

well, somewhat bad news, a bill arrived from ups today. boo. with duties and taxes. ah well!

Aww damn! That's too bad Meg! Was it about the same price that I paid? I hope it wasn't too much. I find it so strange that shipping companies are allowed to send you a bill after you receive your package. I don't like that. -_-

I think so. Maybe about $15 more or so? I agree, i'd prefer to know up front before I use whatever I bought but ah well. it's still less than buying them from Mona Moore or saks so I can't complain too much :p

That's good- I know, even with the duties/taxes it's still cheaper than paying Canadian markups + gst&pst, or the US markups + exchange rate on the price they were at saks or worse on ebay.

ps- I asked Antonioli about the scent they use :p (I'll let you know when they get back to me!)

thanks luckyme!!
x
