Again, I don't mean to be rude, because Ann seems like such a nice girl, but she's seriously not model material.
She didn't even get what was promised as a prize, and it's clearly because she just couldn't pull of the Beauty In Vogue shoot.

IMG is giving her tests with unknown test photographers, and she's not getting any work whatsoever.

Sorry to say that because I like her personality and she's super cool, but it's just not happening and her win was pure media propaganda, nothing more.
Not being a hater here, just completely realistic.

After the Ann fiasco none of the famous big names are appearing on ANTM and Vogue Italia is still involved only because they probably signed a 2-season exclusive, or something like that.

They all have a chance to redeem themselves this season with someone like Brittani or Molly who can pull off the Vogue task, but seriously, Ann was a big fat mistake.

Sadly I think you're right ivan m, I thought Ann would somehow be able to go beyond the ANTM stigma and propel into some work by now. Sadly I don't think she can; either cause IMG isn't interested in developing her (like they're doing with Jane Randall - whom honestly is a better model than Ann) or because even with VI and a (haphazard) BiV spread, the cilents within the fashion industry don't want to book her because there are more unique and versatile girls out there to choose from.

Poor Ann, if she doesn't book any kind of work within the next year or so I see her being dropped and forgotten. Sad.

^To question the skills of Sheila Single and Ellen von Unwerth, one of the most respected photographers of the 90s, is seriously ridiculous. The team was excellent.

I beg to differ, judging by the behind the shoot clip on the vogue.it, Ann has done an amazing job posing/evoking emotions for the shoot.

She gave a lot of variety and judging by Ellen's reaction at the end, she was completely satisfied.

Objectively speaking, Ann's portfolio at IMG's site looks amazing!

They said that because the overall theme of that whole ANTM season was anti-bullying, and they chose Ann as the poster child for the anti-bullying campaign.

I mean, why on Earth would anyone book Ann for a Versace show, of all brands. She couldn't even walk properly at that casting, and she in no way embodies the Versace look... Everyone involved just went ahead with the propaganda and tapped her on the shoulder, but in the end none of these people actually booked her.

She's a sweet kid, but come on.

Ok, I think we are all being to hard on Ann. She has 48 pages on her thread and some test shots and 1 editorial. We want her to excel to greatness because of her stint on ANTM but if she was just starting out and had the same amount of work she'd have 11 pages, tops. The girls from AusNTM who've done runway and had multiple eds have a quarter of the pages Ann has. She's a new model, IMG is developing her. I expect good things for her over the next year or so but to imagine her to explode on the scene over night is silly.

I'm sure the beauty spread will be good and she will slowly start expanding her portfolio, just like every model in the beginning stages. Ann has a solid look with a good base of experience to start on. She is still just starting out and we may be eager fans but we have to remember that.

I rooted for her in the season, but honestly...I have not liked one single thing she has done so far. The IMG tests are "cute" but it doesn't give model at all.
