ya maybe but what makes me want to watch the show is to "maybe" see Meisel shooting the cover??? GOSH I'd looooooooooooove to se him for real lol since he's hidding himself on every video and every pic and to me he's such a great great greeaaaat photographer so I'd love to see him taking the photos of the covergirl at the end of the season.

lol ok I can dream riiight? But still I'm really really pleased that season after season more and more high power guests come into the show and André Leon Talley + the italian HUGE gig for the show it makes high hopes for the future of ANTM and possibly a real working top model on high end covers, editorials and campaigns that, in opposition of the top girls like Raquel, Chanel and Gemma that I love to death, will be known by the public and not just us the fashion community.

They're gonna have to find girls on the level of Cassie Van Den Dungen, Patricia Van der Vilet, Ksenia Kahnovich, Suvi or Vanessa Hagelmaier because that's the standard the industry demands, this should be very interesting. The problem is that Tyra dislikes the body shape that high fashion shows require (skeletal), because sample sizes are really small, and these are the girls (with the exception of Jaslene) that Tyra cuts in the first round. Not because they're not good models but because they'll make her look big when they have to do a photoshoot together in the final episode OR because she thinks of herself as a messiah and she needs to provide a positive body image for the audience of 14 year old girls that look up to her. She needs to get real and put her ego aside if she wants a real top model to come out of her show.

out of all the girls of ANTM who deserve a VI cover it should
be Mollie Sue...she has come a long way to get out of the ANTM
shadow, but I actually think this could make me want to watch ANTM again

Does anyone else think it's suspicious how they keep saying we're taking a new direction or we're changing things up, I'm thinking they may get girls for the shows who are affiliated with agencies, maybe even with IMG, like girls who would usually go to the development boards or the agency knows the girls so that they're strong enough to have their portoflios sent to Meisel. The casting is probably going to be more like cycle one hopefully when the girls weren't all hopeless, Elyse Sewell probably would have done quite well if she had won or had signed with IMG instead of Wilhemina. It's all a little to good to be true, the casting is probably going to be IMG approved or something to ensure there's a decent girl in the bunch.

They probably did scouting for girls as well since alot of the girls who show up for auditions really are hopeless, i'm talking about 5'3" 200 lb ghetto girls who think they have potential to be a model. I understand Tyra's whole positive thing, but she gives alot of girls false hope I think by saying any plus sized petite girl can be a high fashion supermodel!

It's like Miley Cyrus and Hannah Montana. While she had the show she had to put on a good clean image and send a good message to young girls. But when it ended, she let loose and started doing whatever the hell she wanted.

Plus, now that the Tyra Show is over, it looks like Tyra's full attention is going to be on ANTM and making a modeling comeback. I think 2010/2012 will prove to be a turning point for Tyra and people will actually begin to take her seriously again...

you know when i first read this headline i thought VI is going downhill. but the positive of me see this as something exciting to watch. that means antm will be a real competition now instead of those silly challenges they had. i guess its going to be like that show on bravo 'Make Me a Supermodel' that was a great show with insight into the industry with great judges jennifer starr jenny schimizu etc. i never watched this cycle in particular but i remember the anya girl from hawaii who got beat by the plus sized girl. she definitely had major potential for success.

So you believe it's a bad thing for Tyra to give a positive body image to younger girls? Even though I agree that the high fashion standarts are what they are, we're not forced to accept everything, especially when the heath of people is in danger: because the current runway models' body image is really not realistic or positive for that matter so I personally applaud Tyra for wanting to change this image, just like Marc Jacobs did for the casting of Louis Vuitton show or V or Cosmo magazines recently

I agree to some extend. I don`t know if this is going to be huge comeback of hers, but she certainly fills the industry requirements better now than couple years ago. I think the more bigger she was, the more she concentrated size on Antm. There is nothing wrong to promote healthy image, she just never found the next Doutzen, Constance, Lara etc.

Actually I don´t believe antm winner to get VI cover before I see it. If it is true, they definitely need to change tactics. I have seen so many promising faces eliminated at the early stage, and the most unpotential girls just keep going. Not to even mention how boring the show is. I was excited about the first 4-5 seasons, now I don´t mind if I miss half of the season or more. So they`ve got a use for change.

she wasnt booked for that shoot by the producers of antm or tyra banks as a prize for antm, her being in that shoot had nothing to do with antm...so thats not associating yourself with the show itself, he happend to choose someone who had appeared on the show he chose her for whatever reason probably more or less as a filler, but he still chose her on his own terms not tyra or some pannel of judges...sooooo, i highly doubt that he would directly tie himself to antm, i mean what does that say for the magazine...be on americas next top model and you can win a cover of vogue shot by steven miesel ha, not likely to happen, i mean if he doesnt like the girl he isnt going to shoot her, so its unlikely hes going to shoot some random wannabe model from a realtiy show, and if he does the winner will have obviously been chosen from the very start...
