If you like Arctic Monkeys, oddly enough this might not be your cup of tea, still it's Alex Turners new project with Miles Kane from The Rascals, James Ford from Simiam Mobile Disco and Owen Pallet from Final Fantasy/Arcade Fire.

They have a new webside up, and apparently they're calling themselves "The Age of Understatement" and the Album (due April this year) is called "The Last Shadow Puppets" (pretentious much? )

Arctic Monkeys begin work on new album

Haven’t looked so good on the dance floor since Alex Turner and his clan of cold chimps took you though your Favourite Worst Nightmare over a year ago? Like Alex Turner’s solo record but just didn’t think you could two-step to it? Well, dust off your old post-punk dancing shoes (And seriously, get some new shoestrings. Don't make us have to tell you again.), because the Arctic Monkeys are back at it again.
At the Glastonbury Festival last weekend, Monkeys guitarist Jamie Cook told BBC 6Music his crew would start work on its new album sometime this month in Turner’s house in Sheffield.

Cook says the sound on this new record could go any direction. Which, considering he and his bandmates haven’t even started writing the songs yet, is probably for the best.

I'm just here to say I love EVERY song from these guys. I've been into them a month now ( I know I wish I would have gotten in sooner !) And It;s the only cd's I play in my car.
I love their sound, his scratchy voice and their lyrics/ Its all so addictive to sing along too .

The bakery is just <3 beautiful song. I perfer cigarette smoke to CSF imo. I love they're b-sides what if you were right first time? just amazing for alex's voice. The final 'you can't look into those eyes' in that song just get me everytime. Plastic Tramps a great one to.
